Well deserved. I really hope Remedy thrives. I know they've barely been surviving for a while and I really do just want the best for them.

I'm one of those! I've nearly 100% completion, and it's been great.
These games always add so much world building through notes and audio logs, I find myself seeking our every collectable I can find.
I just revisited the first in the series in preparation of picking this up on its first sale, really fun game.
Control is solidly in the 80s on metacritic. That's not an instant classic or anything but decidedly not ”mixed reviews."
Is that Control? It has kinda mixed reviews. Worttj putting time into?
In my opinion it's unfortunately a very disappointing sequel, I played for some time and the writing is horrrible. I felt like this is a beautiful mysterious puzzle game (like the exceptional first game) but here the dialogues are so unbearably expositional it's like the puzzle telling you how to solve itself. It took away all the pleasure for me :(
If you have the time and patience to read the notes and watch the videos littered throughout the game and really immerse yourself in the world that Remedy has created, it's worth it for sure.
Especially so if you like SCP Foundation stories.
They've fixed most of the bugs the first game used to have, and the combat is as hard or easy as you want to make it with accessibility options.
The newer one is a little more tedious compared to the first one, so it's been kind of a slow burn IMO.
Yeah, it's not perfect by any means, but it's 6 bucks on Steam which is well worth it I'd say.
Yeah, it's a pretty good game. I'm somewhere in the middle of it. The first one leaned more into the SCP-lore and storytelling style, which I miss. Combat is fun this time around, even with the change in how it fundamentaslly works.. but maybe a bit repetitive.
