Pantheon. Haven't finished it, but so far it's quite good. Ignore the fact that it's a kids show, the writing ain't half bad

This Pantheon? That's a cerebral sci-fi drama with some pretty disturbing scenes of violence, it's definitely not for kids. Teens maybe, but not kids.
That's the one. Eh, teens = kids in my vocabulary 🤷♂️ Though I admit teens is more accurate. My goal was to convey that it's not necessarily written with adults in mind. But it's still enjoyable.
I've been putting the marathon stream of Samurai Jack on in the morning (on the Adult Swim app). It's a pleasant way to start the day.
Scrubs! (Again). Its interesting to see how they handle some potential controversial topics 20 years ago.
I really like it!
Dr. Jan Itor
I started watching Avenue 5 last week because I read on tvdb that the series had ended. Not for a moment did I consider the possibility that the show was cancelled. It’s probably for the best anyway because the show was actually starting to irritate me by the second season.
Weak Hero. It's meh. It's just bully-revenge porn, and it's not really grounded in reality. Some of those hits are instant death and characters walk away with a band-aid on their cheek. I heard (although did not verify) that the comic it was based on actually has a superpower element in it, and I guess they tried to remove it in an attempt to make it more realistic? IMO they should've just left the powers in so it's actually more believable.
Adolescence. Watched it last week. Very good. The acting and continuous one-shot was amazing. The main kid actor has a bright future ahead of him.
how ... uh, emotionally safe is Adolescence?
It does become emotionally heavy on some parts and I can imagine it can affect someone who is already dealing with something emotionally.
Watched Da Da Dan and I was initially sorta disapointed as I had high expectations but its one of those you sorta need a few episodes to get into. Not that the first episodes are bad or anything but more that you sorta get into the groove. Also watch amazons the bondsman and it was similarly a show that got better as you watched the episodes but this is one where the plot is semi hidden and gets fleshed out over episodes. Also started watching the old buffy and wow forgot how it seemed to improve in season 2. Its like when spike shows up it gets better. Oh also metalacolypse, invicible fight girl, and common side effects. All good. Um this might be more than a week of stuff. thinking about rewatching the galactica reboot for future.
Back to Crystal Maze for some nostalgia and escape room vibes.
It’s not bingable, however as some of the contestants spike my blood pressure.
Finished:
- Severance s02 (don't recommend, s01 was good though)
- White Lotus s03 (don't recommend - transphobic, toxic, poor writing reminiscent of soap operas)
- The Residence s01 (recommend - relatively light-hearted, fun inclusion of neurodiversity, and kept my attention even if it wasn't the most compelling plot)
Currently watching:
- Fantasmas s01, I love this show, though it's not for everyone
