This means, you never disagree publicly, you always stroke their ego and act as if they're good friends and allies publicly. You essentially act like they're your BFF from childhood. Because at its core, Trump and Musk and others like them have some hole they keep trying to fill by seeking adulation, loyalty and acceptance, and they are cheap dates if you're willing to lie. You can create that currency out of thin air (like FIFA, Apple, or anyone else who gave Trump some tin "Very Special Boy" award), it doesn't matter. And the cheapest is words, which Putin is happy to spend here.
