If they just sat down and thought about it for a few minutes, they should be pro-trans surgery.

They're too dumb to realize that it's a sterilization procedure, and in their best interests.

They're furious when they have kids, so they want them... to have kids? Sigh PICK ONE MORONS

I love that Talarico’s forcing them to examine patriarchal cultural contexts without their realizing it. It’s so funny to me that they are outraged that the source of the verse they love to spout at nonbelievers wasn’t originally gendered either in Hebrew, which is also a heavily gendered language. Maybe they’ll open a bible for once… do some research…

    Nah.

    higher taxes

Yeah, higher taxes for the Uber rich. As opposed to the repugnicans who went balls to the wall to raise taxes for the middle and lowers classes while slashing away taxes for the rich and corporations

It's been almost 50 years and the Democrats have YET to return taxes on the wealthy to pre-Reagan levels.

I think the rich and corporations will be fine regardless of who takes office, don't worry!

Maybe this is the wrong outlet for this, but I recently had a massive argument with my mom.

She has always been Republican, but I've always been left wing/progressive. So now I told her I proudly voted for Talarico. She frothed at the mouth and started barking at me. She kept saying I am a moron.

For reference, I'm going through a lot in my third year of med school in Texas. I've seen first hand what shitty policies are doing to patients. At the end of the argument, she targeted my sexuality and my intelligence. She dead-ass said to me "how can my f*ggt son become a competent doctor if he is retarded enough to vote for a rapist lile Talarico?" (Full word auto-modded)

She ended up telling me not to come to Thanksgiving. We eventually kinda resolved it? But tbh, that memory is sticking with me forever. I don't think I can fully trust anymore. I just feel so guarded.

Edit: if you are in Texas, for the love of God, please vote.

    Wow.

My father was, as near as I can understand, an actual Nazi, and I lean pretty hard left, but he never said anything close to as nasty to me as your mother said to you. In fact, for all his faults and despite all the arguments, I'm 100% certain he loved me.

Also, just for the record, I'm going to read this:

She frothed at the mouth and started barking at me.

As literal truth, as in she started barking like a dog.

It is so hard seeing this shit still tearing families apart. It sucks because these are important issues, not something you can agree to disagree on, and it hurts to see your family go down the insanity rabbit hole.

Found this out the hard way during covid when my mom laughed when i said someone I knew had lost a parent to covid and I wanted to check on her (despite us not being on speaking terms anymore). She laughed outloud and called it a scamdemic and called my friend's family stupid for taking his mom to the hospital, because "thats what really killed him".

I had the same kind of shocked feeling of now having to call into question everything I knew (and also everything I was taught) by my mom, including her level of empathy for others.

My mother isn't as bad, but I had something similar happen to me. I don't think she recognizes it, but when she snapped at me she said words that she could never take back. In that moment she stopped being my mother. I show up to Thanksgiving and Christmas and enjoy my family for what I can, but she doesn't get to see the real me. She lost that privilege.

I found peace in friends who understand what it means to actually listen to and love one another. Hope you can do the same.

Edit: In Texas. Voting for Talafreako and getting everyone I can to do the same.

Your mom is going to miss your doctor money when she is in the old folks home. I'm sorry you have to deal with that language from someone who is supposed to love and support you. This whole thing really does seem to be like a mental illness the way it brings out the worst in everyone.

One senator in Texas apparently has control over a divine entity's gender. Didn't know a single congressperson in one state of one country, of one planet, of one solar system, of one galaxy out of many of all of the above; held such power over the cosmos.

the original video is of talareco reading a scripture and noting that it uses the hebrew femenine adjective and hebrew male adjective, so therefore god is neither male nor female, and is non binary.

this is what is being weaponized.

I mean isn't God literally nonbinary though? Since, y'know, we're talking about a creature that created man and woman, and therefore transcends those concepts?

Maybe your pussy god does. My god has a big cock and huge muscles, that glisten as he sweats and smites the brown people and leaves earth to be ruled by normal American people. My god ain’t binary or notbinary. He is straightnary and fucks every hot bitch he sees. He doesnt transcend anything but he straightcends your sissy punk ass all they way to the bank where he worships the real god. Money

    (Please don’t take me seriously)
