Trump is a pedo...

Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.

The article said:

Still no mention of the lives lost, not to mention what might have been done to avert the tragedy or what might be done to prevent any similar future catastrophes.

I'm trying to remember whether Trump has ever said anything that shows personal regret or a desire for improvement. All I can remember are the few times where he was asked a question along those lines and was completely unable to answer the question.

Unable to answer the question, and blamed the asker for a "nasty question" and some agenda to find fault.

Raging narcissist

Trump is an malignant narcissist. Self-awareness is his kryptonite.

I'm not entirely clued in to the situation, but as I walked past a tv yesterday the headline said something like "121 dead in flood, including 24 children. 68 still missing".

So.......trump is celebrating the death of children and others. There's no other way to say this. People died, including children, and trump applauded the outcome.

Or am I missing something? Because I don't think I am.

[–] ijedi1234@sh.itjust.works 38 points 1 day ago

Oh that's easy. Trump claims that many more would have died if it wasn't for his "wise" leadership. It doesn't matter how many die; he can always claim that more would be dead.

This is Taco's HeckuvaJobBrownie Moment, except he's telling himself he did a heckuva job.

[–] AbidanYre@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Remember in March 2020 when he said 200k covid deaths would be a huge success, and then we hit that number around September?

Yeah...

[–] JasonDJ@lemmy.zip 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Was that before or after he said the whole thing would blow over by Easter?

Was it because people weren't doing enough bleach enemas?

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Because the ebil libruls colluded with Fauci to convince people that horse dewormer wasn't magic.

[–] HexadecimalSky@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

no, your not missing anything much. He says it could have been worse so yay, only ~100+ people died. Which even if texas had taken every reasonable precaution, one death would've been too many. But of course they didn't, and trump doesn't think thats a bad thing,, so yes, he's celebrating the death of hundred(s)

I read an article comparing Biden's response to Hurricane Helene and the death toll this caused and trying to equate the 2 incidents. These are nowhere close to the same.

Hurricane Helene

Roughly 250 people confirmed dead across 5 states Florida(population 23.37m), Georgia (population 11.18m), N Carolina (population 11.05m), S Carolina (population 5.48m), and Tennessee (population 7.23m). The total population across the 5 states is 58.31 million people. Math gives us a 0.0429 deaths per 10,000 people due to Hurricane Helene

TX Flooding

Thus far, the flooding is limited to the state of TX alone and mostly Kerr County with a population of roughly 54k people. Roughtly 120 people confirmed dead, and another 160 people still missing gives us a percapita rate of somewhere between 22.22 to 51.85 deaths per 10,000 people.

Comparison

The TX flooding is about 518 to 1209 times worse than the Hurricane Helene response.

he's like the shin Godzilla movie.

where they stand on the wreckage and destruction, after they did absolutely nothing, and state "we did everything we could".

amazing movie

[–] fittedsyllabi@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago

He’s congratulating the flood.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 13 points 1 day ago

Have you even thanked yourself once, Taco?

[–] devolution@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

I’m sure the 100 dead would disagree with this shit stain.

Reminds me - people started acting like "if Obama did it" was the same as Godwin's Law or something during Taco's first failure of a term, but I think Godwin's Law is over at this point and we should continue to ask ourselves how the qons (and the "liberal media") would have behaved if Obama had congratulated himself on a job well done in this situation...even before all the bodies are counted.

The qons would have lost their minds and been calling him ~~uppity~~, oops, I mean, "arrogant", like you would not believe....
