This is not new. He's been harping about how dangerous and terrible scientific journals are for years and has said numerous times he's going to try and shut down some of the leading ones. And I have no doubt he will succeed at least with a few. We are rocketing past Idiocracy at this point.

In an opinion piece published on TrialSite News on 1 August, Kennedy called into question the study’s methodology, analysis and results.

All of course based on his extensive knowledge and experience in the field of vaccines, and of course on the other papers he did showing evidence against this.. right?

May he suffer personally in the same amount and degree of suffering, mortality, and morbidity as he is creating.

He'd drop dead in an instant.

We should be so lucky.

I think he's already dead. How does his skin stay on?

[–] ceenote@lemmy.world 13 points 1 week ago

RFK Jr. Has been dead for years. Now there is only the worm.

Are you kidding me? He looks like he's encased in leather heat shrink. That shit won't budge for at least a century.

Ah yes, the well known scientific method of rejecting findings that don't support your hypothesis.

[–] floofloof@lemmy.ca 47 points 1 week ago (1 children)

He claims to have doubts about the study's methodology. But he has no science education, so he's not qualified to judge that.

[–] onslaught545@lemmy.zip 16 points 1 week ago

I have no formal science education besides college electives, but the methodology looks fine to me.

"I reject your reality and substitute my own", but in a way that's cruel and tragic instead of cheeky and fun

The thing about this guy that gets me is I can't see any logical meanings for his actions. You know with others what it is.. .greed, power, racism. This guy though, I don't see a reason that I can glom on to for his motives. There's some deep developmental stuff and some great quantity of brain damage from partying. If anyone can enlighten me I'd be interested.

[–] Pacattack57@lemmy.world 20 points 1 week ago

He has brain damage due to a parasite that formed cysts in his brain as well as mercury poisoning. What more information do you need to explain his behavior?

[–] akilou@sh.itjust.works 14 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Of course it did. It's an existential threat to the journal if it just takes shit down when someone asks

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 2 points 6 days ago

When some random idiot asks for their own personal gain

[–] bookmeat@lemmynsfw.com 12 points 1 week ago

Should be one of those letters asking whether some moron is impersonating him 🙂
