Може би не знаете, че след поредицата от лоши новини за Instagram и TikTok в САЩ, броят на потребителите на Pixelfed започна да расте експлозивно. Броят на активните потребители нарастна десетократно на близо 200 хил. Появиха се и много нови сървъри.

Всичко това доведе до многократното увеличаване на капацитета на основния сървър pixelfed.social и сега основателят @dansup@mastodon.social започва Kickstarter кампания за допълнителното развитие на платформата и за новия си проект loops.video, алтернатива на TikTok.

I was going to post this in /c/Canada, but figured I'd post it here first since we'd need someone to officially represent Lemmy.ca/Fedecan to make it happen and organize a sort of group-pledge from the lemmy.ca community.

They have tiers for a $500 Gold Sponsor, $1000 Diamond Sponsor, and $2500 Platinum Sponsor to get a logo on their website sponsor page. I figured aiming for $500 is reasonable.
