My bet is that the White House wants it to never start so they can do martial law and stop all these “annoying” politicians and judges who are blocking him being king.
That might actually cause people to act. So I'm sort of in favor of that.
People will accept it and suffer.
It's why they're pushing for military occupations of major cities. The second the population rises up it can be obliterated.
Obliteration would be preferable to this damn interminable waiting where we're told that things are happening but nothing seems to matter..
Martial Law is pretty much inevitable (at least the declaration). The only thing that changes is timing. There's a reason he didn't do it on his first day or within his first 90 days even. Now would probably work against him.
and to prevent the files from being released, we know trump ordered mike to do it, to stop the files from getting media attention.
Yes, and the files. But also total dictatorship over the US.

A classic procedural trick is to just keep dragging Senators back to the floor to vote over and over and over again.
It tends to work best when the average age of your party is under 70. Dems are batting at 66 while the GOP is at 64. So, if this fight drags on another four years, it might pay off.

This administration and the GOP needs to be brought to its knees. And if it is done by keeping the government shutdown then so be it. Do not give an inch, don’t lift a finger, hold the line. And also release the Epstein files.
What would cause people to switch votes? Just being tired of it? Pressure from people not getting paid?
