Wonder if this will effect the meshtastic side of the spectrum.

I'll almost guarantee you any "free" or otherwise unlicensed/amateur spectrum is going to be turned into commercial spectrum. Not only do they get to sell and trade it for billions more, but it also conveniently let's them shut down any form of non-corporate, decentralized communications channels that might let the Poors get a little too organized.

i guess muskrat needs more spectrum for his space junk and the fcc is gonna hand it to him (while restricting competitors, no doubt) under the guise of 'licensing reform'.

space junk

How are operational satellites "space junk"?

[–] Knoxvomica@lemmy.ca 0 points 1 month ago

Because they are owned and operated at the whim a verified manchild garbage person. Junk.

Remember how they wanted to regulate and license AI?

Yeah that might sound terrible for them, but it's actually great, it restricts who has the certifications and licenses to do it. He talks about "increasing investment" as fast as possible, which just means selling it all off to megacorps.

I’ll intensively use his wife if he fucks with the hydrogen line.
