The color of font is not the best choice

[–] when@lemmy.world 11 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (3 children)

We'll be careful with our color choices in the future memes.

[–] Crazyslinkz@lemmy.world 17 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

The color chose is "blurry"? Huh til blurry is a color.

Edit: the comment I replied to has since been edited.

It's like you carefully engineered it to be unreadable. Quite impressive actually. Never seen text this unreadable before in my life. This is what being color blind must be like.

there's a big difference between anti-Semitism and anti-Israeli government

[–] when@lemmy.world 49 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

The greatest trickery they have is that it doesn't matter whether you criticize the apartheid state or Zionism. They'll directly consider you anti-semitic.

  • In 2023, US have already passed a resolution (H.Res. 894) to equate "Anti-Zionism as Anti-Semitism".

Anti-Zionism

I don't have a problem with Jewish people, nor the Jewish nation, nor Judaism, nor the Jewish government (some of them anyway) ....

.... but I have a problem with racist, bigoted, extremist Zionists ..... they've become more like the Jewish Taliban but with nuclear weapons.

Don't forget Germany. Seems like the only lesson their politicians learnt from WW2 was "don't ever criticise Israel."

Modern German political consensus: "Extreme Genocidal Racism isn't the problem, it's choosing the wrong races as subhumans that's the problem"

International law: Genocide is a Crime

U.S./Israel/German law: Condemning Genocide is a Crime

[–] Aceticon@lemmy.dbzer0.com 10 points 1 week ago (2 children)

And British Law, don't forget British Law: they also have the same "Criticism of Israel is anti-Semitic racial hate" legislation.

[–] asg101@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 1 week ago

Yep. ALL the Israeli occupied governments.

[–] Charlxmagne@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Not necessarily, the UK govt generally has to tread more lightly than the govt's of the US & Germany, since like Canada, they have a far proportionally larger muslim population than those the states and Germany, certainly larger than their Jewish population with a far smaller Israeli influence within their general population, not that being Jewish makes you Zionist in any way, however Israeli lobbyists do help with making sure to provide areas with Jewish majorities with private security in an effort to encourage a culture of fear towards Muslims within Jewish communities.

As a Native American, fuck Israel, fuck this US administration.

[–] SARGE@startrek.website 24 points 1 week ago

You could absolutely say, with no surrounding context, "Palestinians deserve to live", and have half a dozen people call you antisemitic, as if you were

1: talking about jews or Israel in the first place,

2- saying NEGATIVE things about those groups, or

C, implying that two groups of people can't exist at the same time.

And a dozen other people nearby will nod their heads in silence as though the person calling you antisemitic was in some way correct in their assessment.

[–] Talonflame@lemmy.cafe 24 points 1 week ago (2 children)

I'm absolutely against anti Semitism but it's not anti Semitism to say Israel is committing a genocide. I wish more people realised that.

[–] carrion0409@lemm.ee 9 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

They do they just don't care. 99% of US politicians have been or are actively paid by AIPAC to say this stuff which then leads to their supporters parroting it. Chuck Schumer gave the game away when he said "It's my job to keep the left pro isreal."

Americans are dumb as fk. Give them cheap gas, cheap grocery, payment on a house and truck, they will sell their soul. There are very few of us that can logically come to answers.

[–] ILoveUnions@lemmy.world 7 points 1 week ago

The idea that Americans are somehow exceptionally dumb and that it could never happen at home is going to be the European countries downfall---they've already forgotten history

[–] JigglySackles@lemmy.world 21 points 1 week ago

I can't express this deeply enough. Fuck Israel. Supporting them is an indefensible stupidity.

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 9 points 1 week ago

Holy crap, this is a perfect illustration and representation of the current situation

[–] Rin@lemm.ee 5 points 1 week ago

Literally h3h3
