Overview:

The community dedicated to boycotting the US until they stop fascism, restore full democracy and start following international law.

Americans have a moral obligation to resist Donald Trump and project 2025 at every turn.

America is a flawed democracy currently being ruled by oligarchs. Stop the backslide! Dont let America become the next Hungary.

America needs to challenge the court rulings of citizens united v. fec and shelby county v. holder, protect the media, implement independent district drawing, and the single transferable vote so they don't end up having people stay home in life-changing elections because they cannot vote for their favourite candidate.

Will someone please just separate his head from his torso?

The only people that believe Musk can score the payday with the ludicrous contractual obligations:

A) Lemmy

B) Musk

Contract terms to get to $1,000,000,000,000:

  • Market Capitalization: Tesla's value must increase to $8.5 trillion from its current valuation (around $1.4 trillion at the time of the vote).
  • Vehicle Deliveries: Achieve 20 million vehicle deliveries.
  • Robotaxi Fleet: Bring one million self-driving Robotaxis into commercial operation.
  • Robotics: Deliver one million Optimus humanoid robots.
  • FSD Subscriptions: Reach 10 million active Full Self-Driving (FSD) subscriptions.
  • Core Profit: Earn up to $400 billion in core profit (adjusted EBITDA).

Does anyone in the room think any of these goals are achievable?! Not even worth discussion, and yet y'all mad.

The board played the fool for a fool just to keep him working overtime, knowing they'll never pay out.

All that money and he's still incapable of having anybody but the biggest losers in society like him.

[–] TipsyMcGee@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

That’s a major demographic

[–] ZDL@lazysoci.al 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

In size, sure, but not in any metric that matters.

[–] victorz@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Size isn't a metric that matters of a demographic? You'd think that'd be one of its most influential characteristics. Especially when voting for example.

[–] ZDL@lazysoci.al 1 points 1 day ago

I don't care who votes if I control the nominations.

Wow, such riches. Imagine being on the verge of achieving such a big number and conclusively proving that you have utterly failed at life.

with all that money, he couldnt fix his botched penis from a surgery, and maybe going to rehab for his alcohol and ketamine addiction.

Before social media we could imagine billionaires as reclusive geniuses. Now we know they are just suck up edgelords.

[–] HumanOnEarth@lemmy.ca 21 points 2 days ago (2 children)

If you're still driving a Tesla at this point in the game, you're complicit. Barely any Tesla owners would be in such a financially precarious position that they couldn't change cars. It's been long enough.

Tesla is a MAGA brand, period.

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 day ago

Mmmmm, lots of Ubers drive Tesla. Bad choice that will be very hard to get rid off

[–] BCsven@lemmy.ca 3 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Who do you sell them to though?

[–] ZDL@lazysoci.al 1 points 4 hours ago

There's that Finnish guy who crushes things in industrial presses and together with another Finnish guy explodes things. They exploded a Tesla once. Surely they'll accept donations of more.

[–] victorz@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Tesla cars have lost a lot of value here, so there's not a ton of choice but to keep them for those unfortunate souls that did buy one.

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 1 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

They lost value because they have poor reliability.

[–] victorz@lemmy.world 1 points 9 hours ago

Okay, yeah. But especially since Elon had been shooting himself in the foot. Nobody wants to buy Tesla.

Regardless of the reason, it's hard to sell them at a reasonable price.

[–] cecilkorik@lemmy.ca 27 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Eat the rich. I'm sure it will make him taste extra soft and tender.

[–] cv_octavio@piefed.ca 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I'm all for this but I'm not having any of whatever we make Elon into (probably a stroganoff or something) because it's probably tainted with ketamine. I need to keep my wits about me in that restaurant, trippin' balls is for the rave afterwards (where we smoke the rest of the billionaires that we made into drugs)

Wouldn't even feed the best cuts to a starving stray dog; a shark on the other hand...

[–] Yezzey@lemmy.ca 7 points 1 day ago (1 children)

At some point the number stops being impressive and just starts feeling unnecessary.

[–] FatVegan@leminal.space 2 points 19 hours ago

Quite embarrassing at some point

[–] Hirom@beehaw.org 6 points 1 day ago

I hope it overflows to zero. Or better yet, overflows to -1000000000000.

[–] tehsillz@lemmy.world 9 points 2 days ago

Can't they just refuse to pay like he does?

[–] DarrinBrunner@lemmy.world 7 points 2 days ago (1 children)

It's all about power and status. Trump was sad because he could never get past low billionaire status on his own, because he's a shitty businessman and not very bright. That made him prime candidate for President, because he craved the power and status and couldn't get it by raking in more money than the others, and he's stupid enough to be easily manipulated. So, he was installed as President.

Trump turned around and cucked Musk. Musk is now trying to become the first known trillionaire* to get back at Trump, and the rest of the billionaire assholes.

*Putin might actually be worth over a trillion, no one knows for sure.

[–] ZDL@lazysoci.al 1 points 4 hours ago

Did Trump ever actually pass billionaire status at all? There's an intriguing piece of evidence that he didn't.

See, there was a guy who publicly said that Trump was never a billionaire. And the notoriously litigious Trump threatened to sue him for a kazillion dollars (because he's a child). And ... nothing ever came of this. Because, I suspect, some of his lawyers pointed out that there's this thing called "discovery" and that the guy he's suing could subpoena his financial records and prove he wasn't one.
