Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

And they will do nothing about it.

[–] meco03211@lemmy.world 27 points 3 days ago (2 children)

No. They'll give him another chance.

[–] santa@sh.itjust.works 9 points 3 days ago

Right. And thats nothing.

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 8 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Just one more term. As a treat.

[–] Wizard_Pope@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago (1 children)

The pedophile gets to have another term, as a little treat.

Trump couldn't do it, but Stephen Miller can!

[–] Frozengyro@lemmy.world 5 points 2 days ago

Why did they give it a failing grade? Probably for not going far enough...

[–] Hylactor@sopuli.xyz 4 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Conservatives think [it's] simple, they take [it] apart and can't get it to work again, liberals fix [it], conservatives get jealous, how complicated can [it] be? I'll show those hot shot know-it-alls, takes [it] apart, can't get [it] to work again...

Nah, they know what they're doing. They know if put together properly it'll work, so they spend years fucking it up so badly that it'll take decades to fix, which they know won't happen. Then they point to how broken it is and use that as an excuse to make people believe it was never working and even if it did it can never work again.

All of these articles are the same. "50% of Americans think Trump isn't amazing".

WTAF idiots. How is there not 100% consensus that he's an imbecile, and a criminal, and struggling with dementia.

[–] titanicx@lemmy.zip 9 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Because there are people that voted for him twice. Brain dead, racist removed.

[–] Turret3857@infosec.pub 7 points 2 days ago

There are people who voted for him thrice actually

and let's not forget how those same outlets predicted that Kamala Harris was going to win in 2024... and Hillary Clinton in 2016... and that Joe Biden would sweep in 2020... and all the "Blue Waves"...

I'm so tired. This nation is filled with morons.

[–] mazzilius_marsti@lemmy.world 6 points 2 days ago

what do you mean first year....

fuckkkkkk it felt like 10 years

[–] Croquette@sh.itjust.works 12 points 2 days ago

They are still fucking traitors. To the streets with them, like the others.

[–] FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca 8 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Good. So what are they going to do about it?

[–] Tehbaz@lemmy.wtf 6 points 2 days ago

They should start killing him, and any cunt who supports him.

[–] KelvarCherry@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

I feel you. It's been a year of hearing reports of "Bombshell!" and "Trump ruined!" and "Republicans scramble!"

No it wasn't; No he wasn't; No they didn't. Yeah they've got idiots screwing some things up, but they're doing so much that they're creating immense damage. I wish people could get that in their head. I laughed at MAGA in 2023 and 2024; but look what happened in 2025.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 4 points 2 days ago

Talk's cheap. They could fire him anytime.

[–] Triton420@mander.xyz 10 points 3 days ago (1 children)

By failing, they must mean he’s not moving fast enough to end democracy?

[–] snooggums@piefed.world 2 points 3 days ago

Yes. This is exactly what they wanted, so it must not be happening fast enough.

If you're a driving instructor and you let the student drive into a lake you're at least as shitty a driver as they are.

[–] myfunnyaccountname@lemmy.zip 1 points 2 days ago

They are hoping that when they say this, you will forget about how shitty they are and that they protect pedophiles. They are looking for wins to be like “look I’m not a shitbag”.

[–] Itdidnttrickledown@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I guess the graft wasn't good enough. We know they are looking for any way to steal a buck. Let not pretend that there is a single republican who isn't greedy piece of shit. Unlike democrats that have less than ten who are decent. The rest of them are greedy grifters as well. Just not quite complete pieces of shit.

"He's grabbing too much for himself, and not tipping the help enough."

Just 38 bills were passed into law by Congress this year, the lowest legislative output for a first-year presidency in decades

I feel the need to point out that quote (from the article) is a bit misleading when one of those bills was the "Big Beautiful Bill" which Trump and Republicans in Congress both declared was "all he needed". Just saying...
