I see so many people on this web site complaining about sponsor spots on youtube videos and it always annoys me because it means people are perceiving advertisements.

I see so many people on this web site complaining about ~~sponsor spots on~~ youtube videos and it always annoys me because it means people are ~~perceiving advertisements.~~ not using Youtube frontends like Newpipe or Freetube

I use newpipe on mobile, but a giant pile of extensions and greasemonkey scripts on desktop

Looks more like an unvetted ad to me. Not idea what is that 80.000 hours site but looks like other of those courses sites like master course or brilliant.

From what I remember they help you find a "high-impact career"; they provide a guide, other resources and have videos around that theme presented by prominent people. In a previous NJB video sponsored by them you can see that they had Sam Bankman-Fried on their website.

Every time I see NotJustBikes I think of this thread. I don't know about this StrongTowns guy, but they both strike me as libs.

There could be some other way of making rapid progress as shown to us by history, but na, that's silly.

Strong Towns is actively a reactionary, he's just a reactionary who realizes that car-dependent suburbia just isn't sustainable even for reactionaries
