Absolutely, iii was my most anticipated showcase this year and they delivered big time. Katana Zero DLC was the highlight for me, but I got two more wishlists from the rest of the video as well.

Last year's showcase was good, but this one blew my mind. I'm already counting the days for next year's.

Eclipsium?

Look at 5:40. It's a cave, not a big road though. Maybe the rest of the game features a road somewhere.

The showcase itself is 1 hour long, the rest is interviews/devs commentary for some of the games.

I'm so happy I could die. Big props to the developer for making it free. I'm gonna buy the game again regardless.

Dying Light had a mediocre story and repetitive gameplay, but the parkour mechanic was what made it interesting in the long run. Jumping around and climbing stuff was so satisfying.

As for side scrollers, Ori might not be the most difficult platformer I've ever played, but it certainly was the most fun, thanks in no short part to the fluid and dynamic movement of the main character. The camera is also very wide, to allow you to see the road ahead clearly, which is not something that all platformers do right, surprisingly enough.

I don't blame them. Nintendo fans buy anything at any price. I don't see it being different this time.

Mario Kart 8 never goes on sale and sold 70m copies; Pokémon Scarlet/Violet sold 30m despite looking and playing like dogshit; they sold Skyward Sword HD, the remaster of a 10-yo game, at full price and still placed a few millions.

Nintendo is basically like Apple at this point, the brand is enough to convince people to spend more than they would for the competition, regardless of quality. I personally know a lot of people who loudly groaned/complained at the price announcement, but will still buy it day one, just like they always had in all these years.

And people terminally online should stop pretending the Steam Deck is competition to the Switch 2. It couldn't even compete with the Switch 1, which was five years older, had worse performance, and had been easily emulated for years at that point.

You can change that from the settings -> Posts feed -> Post appearance -> Prefer image at the end

Damn, didn't know he died. Rest in peace.

To anyone willing to honour his passing, Top Secret!, his first movie, is still one of my favourite parodies ever.

Not much to say but this is the usual comment to thank you for your wonderful posts.

Enjoy Rome! Be sure to try our Carbonara at some point! :P

A subscription seems like the exact opposite of what GoG stands for. I buy a game, I own it forever. How does a subscription improve that?

Have you tried playing with the settings in Posts feed -> Post appearance? I use "compact" view and I don't need to scroll far at all. You can also set a line limit for "Full" view.

DnDHomebrew is a community dedicated to sharing and giving feedback on homebrew material for DnD 5e (both 2014 and 2024). It doesn’t see regular activity, which is a nice change of pace from the UnearthedArcana subreddit (where low-quality homebrews are posted daily, and that only recently decided to finally ban AI), but it can get a bit monotonous in the long run.
I’ve tried keeping it active over the past few months, but writing quality homebrew takes time, so the are long hiatuses during which the community stays silent. There are other content creators sharing great pieces of homebrew, such as Consort’s playable dragons and magical items. However, I’d love to see more activity from other users as well.

Please join us if you feel like sharing your homebrew rules, classes or whatever, or if you'd like to spice your games with additional options!

First of all, congrats for going open-source! I know a lot of people asked for it, so I hope this will contribute to more Lemmy users giving Summit a try.

As for the request, I was reading this: https://lemmy.world/post/27017601

The post mentions a potential exploit regarding inline media being used to access the user's IP. I'm not tech savvy, but another developer in the comments acknowledged the issue and pushed a hotfix for their app to patch the issue, so I was wondering if Summit could do the same.

To make things clear, I know there's already an option to display inline media as links. I'm asking for an option that changes the behaviour of inline media in private messages only.

Title. Would it be possible to add in-app support for community links such as:

Inkarnate is giving away 10-days free Pro membership, so I took the bait and tried it. I decided to use the limited time to bring a very old concept of mine to life, which I originally conceived as a kid in high school. Overall, there's a lot of improvements to be made (especially since I decided to stick to the original concept as much as possible, which was... not very good to begin with lol), but I had a lot of fun and it allowed me to unwind a bit before going to bed, which was nice.

Not sure if I'll stick to Inkarnate Pro, however. Inkarnate is good, but it's web browser-only and subscription-only, which are both dealbreakers for me. I think I'll try Wonderdraft next!
