In fact, I can think of a few reasons the US gov shouldn't even be trusted to fund this. Namely the CIA/NSA possibly saying "removed we fund you, don't report these things we exploit or no more money." Did it happen? Don't know. Does "US gov funded" immediately make me suspicious of it happening? Yes.

Also texting on Nokias happened, many were invented to save clicks.

Furthermore it's arguably natural for organizations to be abbreviated/initialized and it's not an American phenomenon, as evidenced by the кгб and фсб; or the YPG, KSB, YPJ; ETC.

Such a sweet kitty. Still pretty hidey, but coming along and opening up. She's play biting me now and it's so cute. Still hisses sometimes when she sees me but still doesn't mean it. Her leg is healing up so good that I never put the cone on her, I think part of the licking was stress which I've removed as much as possible. Picture to follow here.

Well not me, and again I'm not exactly a porn star over here, I'm literally just above average for my demographics, statistically. Maybe a micro?

I mean, as someone who was once 9 (and I'm not lacking but I'm not that gifted either), still idk about this. They used skateboard bearings, like bones reds but cheaper (if you wanna make that shit fly, throw some swiss ceramics in there). I never fidget spun because I'm old but I skated so I recognized them instantly. Maybe if the bearing was popped out, but no way anyone fits in a fidget spinner with the bearing in.

That axle hole is 8mm, the external diameter is still only 22mm, but maybe, if the wiener in question can squish down to roughly 23mm. Still hard to believe. Reds pictured for reference.

Another thing to consider however is (and I actually have a 101 for GBA games) there's just nothing better than a GBC and a worm light. Why? We'll never know, it's just one of those things that science can't explain.

Here's mine, and the exact opposite of another "unpopular" opinion here which is upvoted:

Guns.

First of all pandora's box has been opened in the US and can't be closed, there's 600,000,000+ in private hands with no registry to know where/who and trillions of rnds of ammo and everyone who has any of that intends on keeping it. "American gun owners" actually end up being a larger army than most countries militaries, you're just not going to be able to short of finding a way to Infinity rock (or whatever Avengers sucks) them out of existence.

Secondly, good. I'd rather people be able to defend themselves if need be than not, be that against forces foreign or domestic, or against the crackhead down the street with a knife. All the way from the improbable fighting our government, or red dawn style fighting a foreign power on our soil, to the more likely Black Panther style activity and defending against your average deadly threats, or even just hunting for food in the event of a small/large catastrophic event that affects supply chains (if you can't get food at the store because of a natural disaster or something, at least food is walking around, it's just more work). It should never be your first resort, but you shouldn't exclude it from being your last resort.

I expect it won’t be straightforward to view the data as well, it’s not just gonna be a folder full of jpegs.

Source?

Tbf, I (and I'm a random third guy not the guy to which you're replying, for clarity's sake), also doubt it'll be a folder of jpegs...but I think it'll be fairly trivial to exploit whatever it is, and it'll take way too much storage (storage cheap now, whatever, I know I'm old but I don't use cloud and I've got other shit to spend money on than HDDs or SSDs, which I do also need as a pirate/data hoarder and don't want to waste space on).

I don't understand what use case you can have by asking Microsoft what porn you were watching at 2 am of February 19th.

Well you see I have my browser set to delete history on exit because of security so this would override that and keep the history...that I...deleted... Wait...

Lmao idfk why people would possibly want this either.

My airpods and fingerprint reader (framework 16) work fine on Fedora, sometimes it just be like that.

It's been maybe once a year with Fedora (except that time it was three days before the update that fixed whatever the issue was, but then it was like three times and I pretty much count it as the same "incident"). Wish I could help, but short of knowing why all I have is "well that sucks bro." Maybe looking into your logs when it happens will help identify a specific problem that can be fixed, if you care to do so. If you like windows though just stick to windows, whatever.

It's a unix system, I know this!

Rescue from my warehouse (lemmy.dbzer0.com)
submitted 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) by ArcaneSlime@lemmy.dbzer0.com to c/cat@lemmy.world

This little scaredy cat got into the warehouse in which I work, and someone had to save her so I did. I recently asked about integrating her into my house with my 2y old cat.

So far, she's been quarantined in a separate room, she's got a bite on her foot I wasn't told about that looks partially healed, but still not great, and so I'll have to figure that out first. I have a cone on the way to stop her from licking at it until I can get her to the vet (who was supposed to email me yesterday...c'mon guys kitty need help!) Unclear if the bite came from one of the dogs inside the warehouse, or (lord I hope not, but...honestly I think so..), the raccoon she was spotted near a few days before she gained entry to the warehouse. I have a pic if anyone wants to see it, but it looks like a lil puncture wound (not exactly cute) so I'm only going to if someone requests 'cause they wanna help (as much help as that can be, need the vet for sure but advice is always welcome in the meantime!!)

She's terrified, but, that's probably normal? I mean, she's a wounded stray captured in a humane trap and then was fostered in a bathroom for a while until I got her in her own room. It's been like 26hr since I got her here, I'd be scared too. That said, she'll hiss and hiss but won't bite or scratch, when she hisses I'll pause and slow blink, then keep going, when I reach her she'll let me pet her, pick her up, starts purring and rubbing her face into the pets, y'know, cat stuff. So, pretty good? Idk! I've only adopted from humane rescues so far this is kiiiinda my first "found it in a dumpster" cat.

My tubby kitty, resident idiot... Idk if she's even noticed, despite the new kitten using her separate box (clearly "smells" involved there wafting under the door) and she definitely heard her meowing at me (begging for release into the wild) about 1h ago. Doesn't seem to care at all, who knows with this dingus! Maybe they'll become fast friends when they see each other, here's hoping!

Here's another pic, of her deciding I may not be so bad after all, of course she'll forget this next time I walk in...

Ok little backstory, I had cat, rescued another, the first has since passed but the second (Ripley) is still here. Another cat broke into our warehouse at work and someone needs to rescue it, and the duty has fallen on me. Ripley did OK as a kitten with my other cat, but since becoming an only-cat she has had scant interactions with strays coming up to my glass door, but she tries to fight them every time lol. I think she'll come around though.

Here's the plan, gonna clean out my "spare" room and make the new kitten a fort in there with a freshly washed blanket, get her some toys of her own, own box and food etc. I'm gonna keep em completely separated for a couple days, then swap them for a few hours to let them explore the other's scent, then swap back, rinse and repeat for like a week?ish? Once they start sniffing under the door and stuff I'm going to try and let them see but not touch each other (and have no clue how I'll achieve this, any ideas would be helpful!) and then after a few of those if no hissing occurs and they seem chill, let them meet finally.

Both cats female, current resident is about 2-3, new resident is less than 1yo. Will get all the shots and spay, of course. Shots ASAP for sure, spey idk if I should wait until they're friends?

Any tips? Sounds pretty good? Typed a little rushed on break at work, sorry, just found out I'm taking the cat lol.
