I really hate the "marry your undocumented partner" suggestion, it creates an unequal power imbalance ripe for abuse where someone has to choose between being deported or being abused

Im currently recovering from a relationship where my ex became so much more abusive once he knew I was dependent on being an authorized user on his credit card to escape my abusive adoptive family and im lucky compared to so many other people in these unequal relationships

How are you getting your books?

If youre getting from libby there won't be a difference but if you download from annas archive/z library or something similar I can't recommend it enough

I used calibre (its free) to do it.

I was having an issue with the epub having weird formatting that gave huge borders and spacing issues so there'd be like 25 words per page and this formats it correctly, it also makes it so the in text citations show up in a little window instead of it taking you to a different page and having to wait for it to load, and makes the page count accurate to what font size you have

Tried converting an epub to kepub (epub for kobo ereaders) and it actually makes the reading experience so much better

Feeling annoyed at my friend recently and even though my other friends dont know him I dont to talk about him to them because I dont want to be someone who negatively talks about people they're friends with for reasons that aren't like objectively bad

But also know talking to this friend won't resolve things until they bring it up themselves or get over whatever is making them act like this and keeping it to myself while they act like this is building up my annoyance at them :/
