That’s the car I was thinking of specifically. Wasn’t a good time overall for Mercedes though, to be fair.

When my employer reimburses me fully, I will pay for two connections. But they don’t, even though they (could) save a ton of money by closing the office.

Less inequality and better education are really the only solution.

People reach for extremism when they feel let down by the existing system.

I feel that.

And what are ya gonna do? How far down and to the left in the Magic Quadrant do you go before you find a non-American alternative?

Sucks to be here. I had hopes the money (of the threatened companies) would win over the rhetoric, but now the company I work for is effectively built around software that’s not got mature non-American alternatives. I’m still trying to recommend European options when they’re available

Sure, let’s just gloss over the cost of heating - which relies heavily on fossil fuels or smog-producing fuels, or both.

Datacentre thermal management (especially for AI)isn’t even in the same ballpark as cooling for homes. One produces pretty charts for management, the other keeps people alive.

They’ve been building them in USA for a long time. Things may have changed, but when they first started building overseas instead of Europe, the reports were that you could totally tell. Creaks, groans, and rattles. Personally, with my tiny sample sizes, this holds true.

The average buyer doesn’t really care as long as their leased Mercedes makes them look like they are successful.

Look at the boxes outside the back of the restaurant.

Any decent restaurant will be cooking a fair bit of their food, even if they’re using Restaurant Supply’s fried chicken mix.

Applebee’s potato skins you probably can’t get directly because it’s probably only available to franchisees. But with some digging you might be able to buy a skid of the generic stuff from the manufacturer.

Once, I got a box of frozen microwaveable dessert. We ate so much… every day… it was a big box.

TSLA at this moment is up nearly 5% for the day, and 13.37% in last 6months.

Musk Stans are stupid AF.

Tesla shares rose

As if somehow his involvement at Tesla is a good thing.

If they could build a car that competes with BYD and other Chinese manufacturers in cost, it might be worth a fraction of its current value, but they cannot. Their cars are aging, the tech isn’t leading edge anymore, and they haven’t demonstrated that they have learned how to move from design to production without a huge on-ramp. Their PE should be lower than Ford or even VW.

Texas also has a maternal mortality rate is worse than the next two states combined.

You must have the baby, but under no circumstances will care be provided for baby or mother.

They all cancelled their greenwashing initiatives this year too.

Abstinence is extremely effective. However, it’s impractical and associated with moralists and the piss-poor “sex education” that Americans get.

But it is 100% effective.

And yes, the best way to build a house that will never, ever fall down is to not build one. It is impractical, and beside the point, but it is true!
