This reminds me of a weird bathroom dream I had once. I was at the gym and went to the restroom where there were about 90 toilets, all in glass stalls that were maybe waist-high so when you sit you can see everyone’s face.

Anyway I ended up walking almost clear to the back because most were messy beyond comprehension and I swear it’s for every time I’ve scrubbed a toilet for work.

Peaceful protest works when you can humble someone into hearing you out. A sense of civility that understands it’s an alternative to violence.

It doesn’t work when they just send in federalized national guard and teargas you and shoot the press no matter how peaceful the assembly, because it is seen as violence to disagree loudly.

That’s always been what that meant. It’s like throwing a party and getting upset that folks come in through your window when you’re only letting one in through the door every two hours.
