I literally open the post with "it's not racist." To ignore that and read the rest of the post as "I don't care if it is racist" is either intentionally dishonest, or incredibly stupid. Regardless of whether or not you agree with my take, those are the only two options for misrepresenting my opinion as "I don't care if it is racist," so take your pick on which of the two you think you're being right now.

Extremely different in historical context, considering one is a stereotype of a victim of genocide (obviously, the Jewish people, not Nathanyhu, fuck that guy slightly harder than Xi), and the other is specific to the leader of a nation perpetuating it.

    It's not.

Tankies like to argue that comparing Xi Xiping to Winnie the Pooh is racist because Winnie the Pooh is that off orange-yellow colour, and it's easy to pretend racism starts and ends at vague commentary about skin colour and not, you know, power structures and oppression.

But it's an argument of convinience, brought to you by the same people who scream "ReAd ThEoRy!!" when obscure, specific and often misunderstood academic understandings of complex political systems are more useful to their mental gymnastics.

What actually matters is that it upsets a dictator of one of the most powerful countries of the world. And fuck that guy in particular.

I've been enjoying "using AI is like using a hammer to put screws it a board. It looks fine and holds together for a bit, but the littlest bit of pressure or shaking and it starts to fall apart."

Purely anecdotal, but I also feel like I've been seeing far fewer random .ml accounts defending fascist dictators in the past few days. Normally, a thread like this would be overwhelmed with them, and anyone who disagreed would have 5-10 downvotes. Today there's exactly one, and the people shitting on him are "winning" the votes.

To be fair, this is also not Lemmy.world, or any of the more "mainstream" Lemmy communities.
