Yes ! this is the original forum and still has some of the original members 😊 It was called Bike Club France... I was on there as quiz master and to enjoy the banter, esp in winter. That is his I got to know a bundle of the guys in the club. It closed down due to lack of funding and reluctantly we made a Facebook group, really just to keep in touch and try to hold it together. It was never really the right platform for the group though.

Oh yes, I remember the routes. Not sure I can plot them on thus map. Maybe a post about the trip and the routes would be useful to others. I will add you at the weekend.

Here's how your friend needs to log in with Voyager:

Instance: Yes, they need to specify europe.pub as their instance. In Voyager, when you add an account, there's a field for the instance URL — they'd enter europe.pub (or https://europe.pub/). That's how the app knows which server to talk to.

Login credentials: They use their username and password, not their email. The username is the one they chose when they registered on europe.pub (the part before the @ in username@europe.pub). So if their full Lemmy name is johndoe@europe.pub, they'd type johndoe as the username and their password.

So the two things your friend likely got stuck on:

    1. Forgetting to set the instance to europe.pub
    2. Trying to log in with their email instead of their Lemmy username

    That should get them in.

Hello folks, I am in the process of making a members map for this forum. I have used the base from the FB group map. Please let me know if you want to be added or taken off. The idea is that you comment below : writing your nearest village and postcode and whether you have accommodation or not… and I will add you to the map. Cheers

Good morning, & welcome. Where abouts in France do you live ? We are not many subscribers yet... So meet ups may be thin on the ground, but feel free to post, comment on other posts and make yourself at home. Also, if you have come over from the fb group, you can post over there that you have got here and motivate others. Thanks

Hello, I am new here and I just want to introduce myself and my Community - BikersClubFrance We have a group on Facebook and it has never really suited our club which was originally an old style forum. It will be difficult to convince our members to move over to here but I have to try. The group is the main reason I am on Facebook and I don't like being there...I'm sure many of them don't either. We share experiences, organise bike trips, meet ups and use the group to ask bike related questions. So, if you are a biker, motard, pillion, Anglophone and live or ride in France, please come and hang out in this space from time to time. You may be a biker and own a gite or B&B... We can dedicate a post to accommodation. You may break down and need a garage to fix your bike, new contacts around France would be useful. We look forward to welcoming you. The Community hangs out here:

We are a motorcycle club who originated on the old style forum more than 20 years ago. The majority of members are Anglophone and live in France (or ride in France regularly) To hang out here, you must be a biker or pillion, live or ride in France, not post external links, ads or publicity unless requested and agree to the rules. Please take a moment to introduce yourself : what do you appreciate about biking ? Where in France do you live ? What motorcycle do you own ? Etc...
