Thank you so much! I should have just looked into it myself but it felt daunting as I’m new to it all but really want to own my own data and media again.

Do you have any information that could help me understand how to self-host my own music streaming using jellyfin? I’ve been meaning to learn this as I’m over Apple’s last increase.

While I don’t support WiseCrack anymore, the YouTube channel is how I found him. It has his past work on it still (I believe) but his new channel by just his name is great as well and more up to date.

Shout out for Benn Jordan as I’d say similar and add in Michael Burns for philosophy and politics.

This pulls in the philosophy of what makes someone “themselves” - is it memory, body, or “soul”. Technically, twins look the same so body could be ruled out that way but I do understand what you mean. I also tend to think of body as a vehicle in this life and not me, just like a car I got given in life. I didn’t choose my body, it’s just what I got given. My personality though - my morals, my believes, etc… that I do consider myself and who “I” am. An argument could be made that as you “craft” your personality or you - it is similar to working out and crafting your body into “you” but some people can’t do that with the cards they were dealt - so I’ll digress.

I just dig the philosophical conversation to be had here.

I didn’t mind the writing changes but I disliked how bland they made the lighting of a very colorful comic — while not a Gunn movie it’s disappointing that he wouldn’t have wanted more GOTG coloring for something in his universe.

Edit: this being said, it’s still a fun movie and I look forward to the rest of the new DCU.

Well, tell us who this is so we can support the real ones!

Sorry to excite like that. I remember hearing him say Apple Cider took him out for a week and I referenced that.

Good news is he’s experiencing mental issues, so hopefully people will stop listening to a man who abused drugs until his brain could only recognize fear.

And Jordan Peterson is a strung out dated talking head who got taken out by some apple cider.

I can see this comparison a bit.

I enjoyed Get Out a lot and my second favorite would be Nope. I wanted to love Us but it felt very loosely written.

Get Out is probably his best due to the subject matter, Nope is a good commentary on animal abuse for spectacle but I definitely see the repeating pattern similar to M Night’s “twist” motif. The big difference is Peele’s films hit more than M Night’s do, where a majority of his failed to stick the landing. Time will tell if he ends up similarly.

Cregger is another comedy writer turned horror director that may end up better, the new RE seems promising and I feel Weapons and Barbarian are amazing films.

I’m a novice musician, producer, and sometimes rapper because I can’t sing for shit but I agree.

An album is like a film to me, songs are scenes and they fit because it’s a piece of a bigger story. My favorite hip hop albums are The Cool by Lupe Fiasco and APOS by Cunninlynguists (it flips to their newer two sometimes) but I love those so much because they tell stories (they’re technically concept albums) and feel great by themselves too. So on the opposite side, it’s hard to make an album that is cohesive together and amazing individually. Not all artists are that impressive.

I hate the shortening of songs and even I have fallen to it but I feel good musicians try to make good albums and not just singles. Doesn’t even have to be a concept album. I really like Kendrick’s last two albums, prior more than latter as the beef will age the latter but flow is also important.

I can talk forever on this but it may just be a sign of the times changing art for the worst.

Same man who said he’d murder the entire population on social media.

Can’t play high road when the other person’s road is underground.
