I used to work at a small IT company. Every Friday at 2pm the boss would stream The Big Lebowski over all of the office TVs and speaker systems. He had painstakingly cut all of the profanity out of the audio by hand.

You were encouraged to get a beer or two when the movie started. Then we just worked with the movie on in the background and sipped beer until 4pm when the office closed.

I can still recite The Big Lebowski, sans profanity, over 10 years later.

I've been spring cleaning for a few weeks. Last weekend I completely reorganized and deep cleaned my kitchen. This weekend will either be the laundry room or the dining room - maybe both! It feels great to clean in all of the crevices that usually get missed in day-to-day, and everything feels brand new.

Sounds like your emails are too long. Trim it to the minimum amount of words to get your point across and be professional, and put all questions in a numbered list.

Thanks, that worked!

It looks pixilated on my mobile device. Is there a direct link to the full size image?

Gotta respect her hustle.

Is the 21 year old fiance actually into him or is it a sex slavery / coercion situation?

Quest 3. I only play Resonite which has native Linux compatibility so it might be easier for that reason.

Fuck it, UDP all the way. Who cares if the data actually arrives?

I play my Switch now and then, and tend to dump unnecessary amounts of money towards always having the latest console, but there's been nothing shown that has tempted me to get a Switch 2. I'll wait until there's a new Zelda game and an OLED model.

I'm a lifelong Windows user and tried Linux many many times but could never wrap my head around it. Recently I installed Nobara and it's exactly the noob-friendly experience I need. All of my games run flawlessly, even the VR game I play. And everything is just FASTER. I never realized how bloated Windows was until now. I can't imagine going back to Windows at this point.

The harassment and danger is the point. It's meant to drive trans people away from public spaces. It's disgusting.

A small apothecary opened in my neighborhood that makes beauty products. They've been very accommodating with selling me shampoo and body wash in my own reused containers. It's all locally sourced ingredients. I'm new in my Zero Waste journey but it feels great to eliminate plastic from part of my daily routine.

My bestie broke both of his arms and wrists two days ago. He's in his 20s, a gamer, has a pregnant wife and a young kid. Any ideas for gifts I can get to cheer him up? He'll have no use of his arms for 3 months.

Already got a bidet for him and hooked it up. Looking into accessible gaming controllers, but he said that the pain is so bad rn that even alternative controllers are probably a no go.

Copilot sounds amazing on paper. The free (to 365 subs) version on the web is just Chat GPT4, so that's familiar enough. The integration with 365 applications is really what grabs me. Stuff like tossing it 10 spreadsheets and asking it to analyze and compare the data, having a virtual assistant to remind me of upcoming actionables, and summarizing a meeting when I zone out - it all sounds really handy.

I met with Microsoft last week and they're down for giving me a 90 day trial if I want to take it for a spin. Any thoughts or suggestions? I ideally want to determine if this will improve productivity for my end users enough to be worth the insane cost of $30/user/mo.
