This seems perfectly reasonable. I'm sure the people wearing DARE shirts will take this seriously and help out.

They all have to work (at least to an extent) using only x1. It's part of the PCIe spec.
Missing pins are actually extremely common. If your board has a slot that's x16 (electrically x8), which is very common for a second video card, take a closer look. Half the pins in the slot aren't connected. It has the full slot to make you feel better about it, and it provides some mounting stability, but it's electrically the same as an x8 that's open.
USB the protocol, or just uses a USB cable? If it's not using the protocol, the cables are a cheap way of getting cables of a certain spec.
Why would you ever think that dealing with Wells Fargo was going to be in your best interest?
The denial after the fact is a necessary coping mechanism. Otherwise, they will suffer from the guilt of killing their child.
Which they absolutely did.
Is this a "Brewster's Millions" scenario, where it has to be wasted, or do you just have to buy a bunch of crap?
Also, I'm presuming you aren't counting time for the check/etc to clear. Otherwise, very few of us could ever even conceivably make that level of transaction.
California is net neutral. Whether it's a giver or taker state depends on the year and the exact criteria used, but it's never very far from even.
That said, sister relief is an area that California gets the shaft.
I fully disagree with that statement.
In most of the world, nearly everyone has a smartphone. Within that, there are 2 main options - Apple, or one derived from Google's Android. Within the latter, you run the stock OS, which effectively requires a Google account, or you can run a custom OS. The custom OS also requires a Google account for anything resembling the usual functionality of a smartphone.
I'm aware that De-Google movements are out there, but that's why it's such a big deal. It's hard to run an Android-based device without a Google account and still have it do what you need/want. And while Lemmy's user base probably has a higher percentage than average, it's still going to be a low percentage.
You must not be American. Adults wearing DARE shirts are not bootlickers for the DEA. They wear it ironically.
