I am aware that someone let their coding agent delete their database. I am not looking to vibe-code. I want a "Clippy", if that makes sense. Not an agent that does stuff for me, but that answers my questions.

And I will absolutely be watching it.

I am sure to upset a lot of purists with this, but as a hobby "sysadmin" of my own linux server at home, an AI built into the shell would do wonders to me.

I found bash-ai, but that seems to me like little more than a wrapper for ChatGPT queries.

In an ideal scenario, I'd like to employ a pre-trained, locally run AI that has access to all files, including config files and the list of installed packages, so it can, for example, tell me what specific lines in config files do or if a package I have already installed is good for a task I want to do or what the merge conflict between configs during an upgrade is about.

Is there such a built-in AI?

I love LotR, but I can't watch it anymore. I know every plot point that happens in the films, so watching them becomes boring for me.

Well you see, the movie's message was "Don't be a shit person, including to brown people". You can probably tell what got conservatives so outraged.

The give reason must be procedual, but the real reason is that the Epstein files undoubtedly also contain the names of democrats or democratic backers. They were more than happy doing nothing with those files.

Corona has become endemic. It's death rate is now barely above the flu. It is here to stay. Isn't that exactly that equilibrium the quote was speaking of?

[–] Quacksalber@sh.itjust.works 10 points 3 days ago (5 children)

A stupid quote. Most viruses also reach an "equilibrium". Not with a single person, but with the population as a whole. Each species is doing its best to expand its reach, most reach the limit of their expansion when they meet another species or an environment that they can't conquer. Humans just haven't reached that limit yet. Maybe that limit will be climate change, maybe humans are able to work past climate change and will never reach their limit. Either way, the distinction between viruses and other life is frivolous.

Problem is fascists get a lot of money or have their signal boosted with money for doing what they are doing. Socialists will be fought with money. Remember the billionaires standing in line behind Trump? Who were missing were the Murdoch media empire an Putin, they also signal-boosted Trump. But other than those, that row of billionaires gives you an idea of how much money is backing fascists.

MRIs develop carzy strong fields. Here's a test with an office chair: https://youtu.be/6BBx8BwLhqg

Es sind Löcher in der Decke. Ich stehe zu meiner Aussage. :P

Wenn man den Bahn YT Kanal verfolgt sieht man, was gerade gemacht wird. Die haben gerade die Glasfassaden der Deckenlöcher gesetzt und verlegen Schienen und Oberleitungen.

To give you some background, this bonus would only be gained if Unknown Worlds hit certain targets by the end of 2025. Most of it would have been paid to the three men, with 10% set aside for 40 other employees at the studio.

So the "team" would get the bonus they say? Both parties can fuck off in my opinion.

Just a heads-up for everyone in the EU, there currently is a petition going until the 17th to get the EU to ban conversion therapy. The petition still needs massive numbers of supporters, so it is likely to fail. Still, I wanted to share with you an easy method to support a more inclusive EU!

The full-scale images are still mostly broken on the default web client, producing only the default broken image placeholder. Is there any timeline to fix this issue?

Since the update, the local image mirror for federated images seems to be broken. The default web client however still tries to load the full-resolution images from the local mirror, leading to requests to the local mirror returning the default broken-image image. Please either fix the local mirror or have the web client load the federated images directly.
