Smells like a marketing stunt.

Und das bisschen Atommüll ist doch sowieso viel besser als die MASSEN an PV-Anlagen, die recycled werden müssen! /s

Truth be told, most aren't that smart.

A less cynical take would be that in a world that is more and more fractured, where flimsy digital interactions have replaced a sense of local community and where the discrepancy between the cost of living and wages have made people more competitive and less charitable, it is only natural to be distrustful and to be looking for a culprit for your own misfortune. Right-wing politics have the easy job of just amping up your fear, while left-wing politics need to plead for compassion.

I guess the original question was the typical "Do you trust the government" question. And with conservative governments presiding over a slow decline in living standards while doing nothing to challenge the status quo, it is no wonder they don't trust the government.

It's less than 600 to go at the moment. i'm fairly certain we'll reach the 202 signature per day required.

10% in about a week. We need 40%, we have 4 weeks. If we can keep up the pace, it'll work out.

It was at 47% before the "drama" around the campaign breathed new life into it.

This looks horrible. I love it.

Republicans are so cooked that they think liberals are the leftist endgame and socialists are just straight communists.

Come next election cycle, there needs to be a reckoning. Not only does Trump and many of his appointees go to prison, it also needs to be investigated how so many bureaucrats and officers are so willing to do Trump's bidding. Unless those people are removed too, Trump 2.0 is going to happen.

Isn't his whole spiel that he doesn't want to maintain those ties?

Sure, if you live in a shithole country like the US or a wanna-be-shithile country like the UK, companies can just trample you privacy. But in the EU, privacy is protected and you can easily introduce legislation that any non-government surveillance needs to be set up in a way that makes automatic permanent surveillance impossible.

Just a heads-up for everyone in the EU, there currently is a petition going until the 17th to get the EU to ban conversion therapy. The petition still needs massive numbers of supporters, so it is likely to fail. Still, I wanted to share with you an easy method to support a more inclusive EU!

The full-scale images are still mostly broken on the default web client, producing only the default broken image placeholder. Is there any timeline to fix this issue?

Since the update, the local image mirror for federated images seems to be broken. The default web client however still tries to load the full-resolution images from the local mirror, leading to requests to the local mirror returning the default broken-image image. Please either fix the local mirror or have the web client load the federated images directly.
