You've seen the best. I stopped somewhere in the middle of S3 because it was so bad. S1 was tolerable but honestly only the pilot was good. Kids watched all of it so I've got an idea how it went on; like a bad and cheap soap opera

You know, I'll agree with your first paragraph. But it's not only the last 40 years, it's even longer. Is there a realistic alternative? I don't see one.

If the real left (not the democrats) in the us wants to be in power I don't see an alternative to violence. And if violence is chosen I have my doubts that the left would win. It's a lose lose situation. The US is a shit hole that won't get better in the next decades or centuries. Maybe hope for a short respite like the 90s.
