If it's got their nuclear sites and Iran can realistically threaten them, it might be worth something. Not sure if they can, but just saying.

They don't really have to. They just have to reduce Iran's reach so it can stop supporting the Resistance, then they can complete their genocide and further military attacks consequence-free. They basically have at this point from the sounds of it.

Beware. It's pretty doomer 😔

It's insane. I don't know how they could be that oblivious when it was obvious to everyone on here what Israel and the US have been planning for a long time, and especially recently within the last couple days as signs picked up.

Is Iran filled with that many libs? You think the IRGC would have been a bit more disciplined and focused at least.

They don't seem very effective...

Oh shit, it's happening?

I was on the fence before because it sounded so cringe, but now I'll probably go, too. See if I can radicalize some libs.

EDIT: Especially with younger people, I think their hatred of Trump and present material conditions will override their learned hate of communism. I know we're cynical and jaded because we see tweets, Lemmy.world, and reddit posts from the worst libs online here, but various events recently (Gaza polls, the glazing of Luigi Mangioni, the LA protests, etc) give me more hope people are looking for change beyond the standard norms and answers, and you just have to go into the streets to meet them and not in the most online spaces.

Only problem with going underground that I could see is it makes it more difficult to advertise and grow your membership.

We need a new Arab spring in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and all these gulf oil state dictatorships. But the CIA would probably hijack those, too.

How did other countries' leftist movements deal with this? Like how did the Bolsheviks, Mensheviks, and SRs survive in Tsarist Russia when they were constantly being infiltrated, censored, banned, their leaders exiled, etc?

Maybe this is a better question for a separate askchapo/asklemmygrad thread.

That's hilarious. It's like a copy-paste of the imperial propaganda used abroad.

I know realistically most libs won't know the difference, but I do think some will, and things like this will stand as a great revelation for some, and a chance to pull many into the enlightening fold of anti-imperialism, which I still see as the greatest stumbling block from turning leftist/progressive libs into true socialists.

. I had already been able to access the hard drive and backup all my files a few days ago.

Smart!
