How long has Melvin been a member of your pack now and can you massage his toes?
Soku
Oh, Miette! I'd forgotten how much I missed that!
When people ask me where I'm from and the question is justified, I tell them and briefly describe the geographical position of my very small homeland. If anyone asks just to be nosy, I say I'm legal and stare them down. When the race is relevant like in GPs office, I'm white European/other. All depends on situation I'm asked.
Suva is an Estonian company manufacturing all kinds and lengths of socks, both wintery options and summery in all colours. Brief check said that delivery to Netherlands is fixed €11 so bulk will be cheaper. Suva leggings have been my winter staple for years and the socks I have from them have lasted for years as well.
Can you microwave a small amount or maybe heat on the stove in a sauce pot? Sour milk will curdle. Then just use it for pancakes instead of buttermilk
On Tuesday we had a meeting with our Ops manager to find out our company lost the contract with the client. We have 6 months until the new company takes over. We work in client's site.
Now, I have a few options to weigh. I could bugger off. I could look around on our company website for another location, they always prefer an internal hire. Or I could use the protection of TUPE law and stay where I am.
Five years in that place, I have the second immediate manager, the GMs we are on seventh, I think. All my coworkers have changed apart from one other person. One more set of new people would be nothing out of ordinary. On the other hand, I like the venue. I like my short commute, I like the spacious changing room with showers and free towels. I like the equipment and space we have. I like we have a window and can see the daylight. I like the hours what are really rare in my trade, and the new company has to honour my contract and pay rate. The management may be new but the client still expects very similar service so the changes would be minimal.
I have 6 months to weigh my options, see who will try to poach me or hear more about the new company but I'm not worried at all, I'll be fine anyway
As a cat lover who can't have a pet (rental living), I live vicariously through cat comms here. I instantly recognise this ghost cat and coffee cat, and some others just by the looks. But I also immensely enjoy all these photos with just a run-of-the-mill average cat who isn't doing anything special, just the owner's comment: that's my cat. If there's a story of something what that cat has done in the past, or some weird habits, or something they like, all the better.
I'm ever grateful for Mocha and Casper for being adorable weirdos and I hope to see Pabu's chubby cheeks again as well
Frankly, we haven't seen enough Pabu here. Happy they got some camera time as well
Thank you, I appreciate these little back stories so much!
