It’s not that great anyway. Your local toilet will surreptitiously grab and analyze your poop, dispose of it so you don’t need to flush, and have the remote toilet extrude an identical copy someone else has to flush.

No one should have to. Most of us have decades to prepare for our old age, it’s unfair to place that burden on your children.

That being said, I love my parents, and even if they are not expecting us to nurse them, I am prepared to hire a nurse to take care of them if needed.

I also want to avoid cleaning doodoos if possible.

Newsflash: felines stink, the bigger they are the more they do. A big furry wouldn’t have a problem with body odor even in the scale of RMS’s.

Guess someone doesn’t like to clean their parents’ doodoos.

TBH Apple is closed mainly because it makes them boatloads of money, not because of security. It could still be open and responsible.

The 3% was because your friend made you take a test you didn’t want to. Your vanilla power is nearly overwhelming the testing capacities of current technology.

  • Alien: Why do you want to replicate things for money?
  • Mothra: So I can buy the things I want!
  • Alien: Can’t you replicate the things you want instead?
  • Mothra: This thing can replicate admiration?!

Plot twist: every replicated replicator degrades slightly in subtle ways, like making glass less smooth, or making food taste a little bit stale. After the fourth cycle, bananas taste a bit like warm mayo.

Nah, economy would suffer and adapt, but not technology or science. Engineers still would get together and work on new designs, but not for money.

Yup, mind uploading is making a copy. If the copying process is destruct, that doesn’t make it less of a copy. Your copy would remember your decision, so it will know it’s a copy as long as it knew how the process works.

Yes, there is overlapping. You make an effort to say funny and witty things, partly because you think it will make you look smart, hence attractive, and partly because you enjoy making her laugh. Which part is the biggest influences how confident you seem.

So you would have to replicate a percent of the mass of the sun. Seems feasible. The electricity bill would be nuts, but the world is ending anyway.
