Very well said.

Love from others comes after a love of self.

Your feet are nasty. I don't need to see them.

Also. The world is nasty. Go raw dog the world and see how long you make it

This has always read to me as "when you're around a bunch of different people you realize how the same we are"

Eidunno. Curious what others think of that. It is very true, the rural and the conservatism.

This one was an audible laugh.

Happiness is a thick ass.

Help. I'm convulsing.

What would you show to illustrate the importance of gay culture and history?

Current ideas: Static table set up for June. They see it when they enter the lobby/on way to lunch. Can stop and read, cannot miss it.

Start at antiquity, show Sappho, Egyptian tombs, historical erasure.

Go to middle ages/ Renaissance, Christian persecution. Advent of modern institutionalized hate.

Modern, 20s acceptance to return of conservatism, stonewall 70s lib movement, law and protection creation. End with a photo of Jonathon Joss to really turn the knife that it hasn't fucking gone away.

Want to also highlight specific people in the eras. Maybe 1 to 5 with space we have. Harvey milk, Wendy Carlos, Alan Turing.

Looking for any suggestions to really make this a specisl learning experience/ way for the elder gays there to feel appreciated. Know we have a few and they're surrounded by a sea of conservative pricks.

Thank you!!!!

Tldr: suggestions for an educational gay history table. Elderly demographic.

Cat heaven. They normally won't tolerate each other, but were mad I hadn't seen them as much as normal.

Hello!

Making this post to check in on other asexual spectrum people. Curious how attraction works for you?

Recently discovered the term "side" and feel that fits well. Always felt obligated for penetrative sex, liked servicing but awkward when things done to me.

Been with men and women. Recently with someone could not be more my type but could not perform. Twice. Wanted to (or so I thought) but it was wanting to be a people pleaser.

When it clicked. Dont like sex. Enjoy things around it, watching partner reactions, kissing, cuddling, performing oral, but actual? It feels like pulling teeth.

Searched and searched and this seems to be a hard Google. 🤷

What prompted me to make this post.

Asexual people what has been your journey of self acceptance? How does attraction works for you? How have partners been about understanding it?

Thanks for the responses.

Supposedly this field has sunflowers when they're in season.

Will have to see next year.

Go on date with man. Tell mom going to gym with coworker. He didn't think we'd actually go but I'm not a liar so his makeup is ruined.

Leaving. He wants to go to families house. I don't want to. So we're just driving around, asking me where to go. Inadvertently give directions to the house. We both can't believe it.

Sit out under stars. I Apolgize in advance in case I'm uncomfortable since new to me. Turns out the stubble is the only difference with men.

Lireral romcom ass date.

Dropped off at home. Told mom "well, I got a bit of the gay." She laughed and said "Do we need to talk about it" shrugged "don't think so"

He moved in 3 months later.

Telling my Gma was funny. Never saw her eyebrows go that high. Think she was more taken aback that he was brown than a man lmao.

Feel lucky everyday for an accepting environment. Have heard many horror stories.

What was yours?

What i mean by this is something that is too peculiar to explain.

Happened recently. Made business cards. Proud of them. Feels like a continuation of father legacy to a certain degree. Edited them from advice he gave my mom when they started their business. Was cherry on top.

Next day. In meeting at work. Boss randomly calls me my dad's name. She has no family or any connection to it. She just felt called to call me that at that time. No knowledge beforehand of my dad's name.

Literally felt like his spirit hugged me. I am not typically a spiritual person... but cosmic coincidence is a spooky fucking thing.

Seen similar things but nothing to this level.

What are yours?

Not pictured in when she's covered in dirty socks. She has a problem.

My recent ones aren't very serious but they've been living rent free.

Coworker called me a tech racoon because I don't throw computer shit away.

Other was another coworker mentioning that people that like purple really like it. Making me go "fuck" everytime I find a new purple thing in my home. Think I'm up to 30+ 🙃

What about you?

Could be an attached memory or sentimental value, whatever.

Conventional worth be dammed.

Given to me it would either be the quilts my grandmother made, or the charts my grandfather followed along with during the moon landing.

Personal items would be the assorted thank you notes the elderly have given me from being in retirement industry. Want to make a collage of them one day.

Neat quote saw when reading. Admitting you're wrong in a genuine way is something you see rarely these days.

"In a 2024 interview, he said he renounced his libertarianism as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic after a libertarian group asked him to speak at an anti-mask rally. "The fact they sent me this email is something I need to be very ashamed of, and I need to change" adding "Many times when I identified as Libertarian, people said to me, 'It’s just rich white guys that don’t want to be told what to do,' and I had a zillion answers to that — and now that seems 100 percent accurate."[56]"
