That'd be easy, wouldn't it? That we could just find all the people with bad thoughts and stick them somewhere they can't hurt anyone. Sadly the real world doesn't work that way, were we can divide everything into "good people" and "bad people".

Sometimes it's as much, or more, about nurture as it is nature.

I wonder how many make fun of those people who want to get rid of Obamacare because they have the ACA to take care of them.

Medicaid, which services those with disabilities or who are below an income threshold. At least that's what I get from the wikipedia page.

If there's limited criteria for getting it, it's not "medicare for all", yeah?

I didn't say he was unpopular anywhere else, just that people here don't look beyond here for any opinions.

I think opinions are divided outside the fediverse, I think they're not here because people are afraid to express another opinion because people like you jump down their throats.

Mangione is a troubled man who thought a random act of violence might make a difference in this world, probably because people in echo chambers like the fediverse do nothing but spew vitriol about how someone should do violence against people they deem to be the problem... while never doing it themselves. Either because they're too cowardly to do it themselves, or they know that it does nothing but exacerbate an already volatile situation, and further polarize people. Because it gives them a fleeting sense of power.

The difference being we do know who they are and why they're doing it, it's just our leaders aren't doing enough to stop them because of "The Economy".

And if you get rid of the board, the shareholders will appointment a new one. If you somehow get rid of all the shareholders, like-minded people will slot themselves into those positions.

The problems are systemic, not individual.

It's not about citizenship, it's about access. They know that it doesn't guarantee citizenship or protection, that's what the rest of their money is for.

Yeah, but if you go anywhere on the fediverse he's the biggest hero since the last person who did one big thing that ultimately had no real effect on the world, and who needs to look elsewhere for bipartisan opinions?

Yeah, cause what else would they be advertising? Fingerprinting services for fetuses?

These things don't come with switches. You don't just flip it on and off. It's more like a snowball rolling down a hill. It starts small, but if it keeps up momentum, it ends up burying a small town.

Crutches are useful tools. Do you advocate that someone who's broken/sprained limbs to just suck it up and walk it off? That's needlessly toxic.

Religion is not a solution, and I never said otherwise. I said it was a tool, nothing more or less. It's effectiveness as a tool is questionable, I agree.

Lars died, man. That's a pretty significant plot point.
