i just finished a single month here, first one in a couple years. ran out of stuff by week three. it'll be at least another 2-3 years before another binge month, if i ever go back at all.

they already make significantly more profits off of each ad-tier sub than they do the ad-free.. yet it still isn't enough. greedy fucking bastards.

already not looking forward to the next updates on a few systems.

we could have had bob or clippy instead of 'cortana' or 'copilot'

that is not an acceptable 'solution' and opens up an entirely different and more significant can o' worms instead.

i've hit it many times so far.. even as quick as the second page view (first internal link clicked) after more than a day or two since the last visit (yes, even with cleaned browser data or private window).

it's fucking stupid how quick they are to throw up a roadblock.

Move fast and break things

that's really all they were after. fuck the system up and destroy as much as possible before anyone can stop them..

bonus points if something trashed benefited or supported women, lgbtq, immigrants, or anyone not white and male, in any way.

extra bonus points if campaign mega-donors or the ultra-wealthy or administration officials can personally profit off the destruction.

i don't do smartphones, but i have this site bookmarked for other things and found these instructions there for the yt app: android and iphone/ios

for computers, there are third-party addons to add functionality to youtube's web site. some provide point-and-click blocking functionality.

third-party apps, as long as they're still 'allowed', may also have the extra functionality you're looking for.
