The type I used for my kitchen had tape backing and it looks like a similar hassle to install as what you're going through. I told myself next time I put any in that I'm buying a staple gun for the project. I think I can safely assume you've done it more than my one time, so tell me: is that a stupid idea? The biggest booger for me was securing the 18 gauge wire I ran under a window to the next set of cabinets, but I'm not against using a staple gun for anything that doesn't adhere properly. If you've got a better method please do share
