This is one of many PR stunts by Anthropic. They're about as credible as an LLM at this point.

It's like the trump admin has never heard of the Streisand effect. Hopefully the developer doesn't get harassed or arrested and the service doesn't get taken down for a while.

People should be wary about not giving any info that might get tied back to them, just in case it's a honeypot https://infosec.exchange/@molytov/114780966893879907

I would much prefer to see a service like this being developed and hosted outside of US jurisdiction, for obvious reasons.

You have shared them with Meta already if you use Facebook on your phone. Permission was given by accepting the privacy policy that hardly anyone reads.

Anthropic seems to believe that any media attention is good attention. All I see is a slop-riddled fanfiction.

It takes a lot of mental gymnastics to believe that's a controversial opinion. Most people will never meet a billionaire in their lifetime, let alone become one.

People with more money than brains can be a boon for those who have brains

It isn't. Its a sign of poor-quality work.

Because so many YouTube users asked for that, right?

Reddit admins have been censoring talk of ICE raids in kitchens. No better time than the present to convince them to bring their community to Lemmy.
