Absolutely. Not because I think it would necessarily be better off, but because I don't want us to contribute to the empire and the loss of our economic output would devastate the US.

We're going to literally start losing cities in the next few years, aren't we?

Part of the problem is that people who don't like him are ranking him at all, even last. You don't have to rank a candidate for NY mayor if you don't want them as mayor.

No doubt you get your money's worth on other hardware. And I'm a longtime emulator fan, but I recognize that they're a good step above the average person's comfort level when it comes to computer gaming.

If you treat all videogame platforms as essentially the same, yeah, definitely. But you can't buy Mario Kart on Steam.

Damn, that sucks. I didn't even know this was a Mozilla website. Why are they shutting down?

Plenty of valid answers already, but also: Humans vs humans is an easy source of conflict. Writers could create nuanced stories of cooperation in the face of apocalyptic adversity, but it's probably way harder to keep that interesting for multiple seasons than bad people are going to try to kill us and take our shit.

Seeing video of Rahaf giggling and playing around on her two prosthetic legs with Ms Rachel made me fucking sob, man. Seeing kids suffering is devastating, but it wrecks me to see how after all they've been through they can still be kids, still have fun and laugh, and knowing that thousands of those children will never even get the chance to experience that again. It makes me feel so sick and empty.

I've used Windows my whole life at home. Last year I realized I kind of hate gaming at a desk since I'm at one all day for work, so I bought a used Steam Deck. Literally have not touched Windows since. I probably don't need a home computer anymore and if I need one in the future, I'm confident it won't be running Windows.

I went to several meetings with some MLMZT folks in my neighborhood and all this time I referred to them as Maoists. I am still so fucking uneducated sometimes it's unreal lol.

Maybe I should start getting to know my fellow vegan coworkers better.
