How to solder with only one hand (lemmy.world)

I very recently became paralyzed in my left (and dominant) arm, fingers and foot, which believe it or not, was not planned for.

The timing was pretty bad, as I've just purchased a couple of ESP3266-boards, a soldering kit and two pressure mats with the the end goal of making a basic bad sensor (one mat for my girlfriend and my side). (Here's the guide I intend to follow: Make your own bed sensor)

The obvious issue is how one, as easily as possible, can accomplish this? Main issues right now are that I can't hold the board, the wires or anything in my hand.

Any and all tips are greatly appreciated.

FYI: most apps show the picture in the headline as long as it's not marked NSFW, effectively making the CW useless.

I've read that sharing access to others is more cumbersome than Plex, requiring Tailscale or similar? Trying to get my family members and friends to do that is unfortunately not viable.

Any recommendations for alternatives? I just spun up NC but even as someone who self-hosts a lot of different services, I'm not finding NC to be as intuitive as it should be.

I got it as soon as it launched, and it absolutely looks good! But at the stage I got it the entire voice assistant was pretty unpolished, so unfortunately it has been gathering dust, now I have a reason to start using it again!

I"ll let you know how it works with Closed Assistant and if it can work as a replacement ๐Ÿ˜„

I know, just the quirks of having a Pixel I guess ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ™ works great so far, looking forward to use it more, even get my Home Assistant Voice PE running it, if stable, finally ditch my Google Home Minis ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿคž

Civilization VI with the right mods is insane. Just a shame the multiplayer is so ridden with desync, and the newer ones suck.
