Many hugs to you guys!

πŸ«‚

I'm no-shit sincerely happy to see the rest of the world putting their finger in his eye.

Yes, any retaliatory action will affect us all, but we were already going to all be affected by the buffoonery that those people voted in.

At least this way it will help get him the fuck out of power and limit his damage in the meantime. And not just Musk, Trump and his pet Vance too!

I guess when it finally overlapped with her personal experience Anna Paulina Luna decided to have a conscience.

No argument from this US Citizen.

This made me feel good in a way that the news hasn't in a long time.

My first reaction was "is that even legal?"

And then my second reaction was it doesn't really matter with Trump there:

I’d much rather have been wrong and laughed at later than to be right about what’s on the horizon.

Dude, I firmly believe that if we appear wrong later, it means that things happened openly or behind the scenes that stopped it, not that we were wrong.

I would sincerely like to see another post from you if/when you cross that line where even the die hards (or for that matter even the rank and file Rs) start to think something smells.

but they defend it, deflect, and try to gaslight.

This is a huge part of why I just don't engage. I can handle protracted, passionate disagreement. I can't handle deflections, false equivalences and gaslighting. I cannot deal with that kind of thing like a rational adult, and then I get accused of being angry due to disagreement when it's nothing of the sort.

That's a great point and much better thought out than my own! πŸ’―

Based on what we've seen so far, I really think they'll just use the men's criteria.

Ironically, when I was in I thought it was really unfair that the women could openly grow long hair and just tuck it under their cover and the men could not.

I'm ashamed to say that back then I took it as an example of women wanting special treatment, when I'm sure in retrospect that it was nothing of the sort.

Depending on topic, they are either OK with it, that I'm over reacting (they are only putting criminals in those camps), or believe any evidence not from the sources you might expect is fake.

And honestly, I don't push at all, because I'm going to change zero minds and I've got enough cortisol in my life already. I prefer to just pretend those people aren't in my circle when I can.

Step 1: Dramatically restrict who is allowed to volunteer for our volunteer miitary.

Step 2: Bemoan that the US no longer has a standing military large enough to support its interests.

Step 3: Here comes the draft again.

Step 4: Wait a bit and all your undesirables age out or are driven out of the military.

Step 5: Well I'm not sure about this one, but you've got a big army full of the only people you really want to have any power, personal autonomy, or decent standard of living anyway; I'm sure you can find something to do with it.

Iran has warned enemies against any potential attack on its territory, saying it is prepared to use its underground missile cities to impose a heavy cost on the US after Donald Trump ramped up his rhetoric against Tehran.

"Iran has achieved a level of active deterrence in which any violation of its sovereignty will be met with a severe response," the General Staff of Iran's Armed Forces said in a statement on Sunday marking the anniversary of the Islamic Republic's foundation.

The state-run English newspaper Tehran Times also reported that "Iranian missiles are loaded onto launchers in all underground missile cities and are ready for launch."

"Opening the Pandora's box will come at a heavy cost for the US government and its allies," the report added, citing information it had obtained.

There won't be any limits after people snap. Back to the jungle we go. Don't worry, it's not like we were ever actually civilized. We hid our savagery behind the economic system
