I’m not suggesting to shop at Target, just don’t spend your money at Walmart instead. Try to find local or other stores that have things. For example, in South Texas there are HEB Plus stores that have pretty much everything Target and Walmart have.

I’d still say Walmart is objectively worse. Target may have dropped DEI, but Walmart has too and they have multiple known practices to push out small companies, predatory practices and tricks to force their workers to live near poverty levels by denying them insurance and decent pay.

It’s just more FUD trying to keep away from it. We’re still a ways off of 100% renewables and nuclear can very much help fill in that gap without reliance on foreign oil or fossil fuels.

A lot of movies go through rewrites and updates before they get released, so saying it’s bad now may not be indicative of the final product. I mean look at Sonic. If that movie got released during its unfinished phase everyone would have hated it. That’s why they do test screenings and ask for feedback before release. Sometimes the movie will drastically change from its original.

Yeah I love how people are panning it and laughing, but thin clients are bread and butter to most enterprises. I think we have around 1,800 deployed at last count. The price is competitive and if you’ve gone all in on the Microsoft ecosystem it makes sense.

wtf

Tripled our ARR

I mean going from $100 to $300 is technically tripling. It just doesn’t mean anything

Putting in 12-15 hour days

Ultra hard pass…

Yea good thing you didn’t. MSHTA is the app that lets you run Microsoft HTML Apps (usually used for their help articles). Those can contain JavaScript or VBScript code. And since you’re pasting it in a Run box it’ll happily execute it, even if it’s a remote source.

Generally it would only run as your user (you’re not admin are you?), which would still be enough to make your life miserable, but it could also try to run known exploits and raise itself to admin and own your whole computer.

“I’m coming for you Jordan” — oof, I remember that.

There are also instances that most likely exist just to suck up data for AI/LLM training. People were up in arms about it happening on Reddit and trying to torch their comments when here they’re giving it away for free and there are less bots because it’s a newer platform.

They should have gone with 3, that way you could have an infinite number, but each universe is only aware of two as they’re all side by side

And El Salvador isn’t saying or doing anything to help… why?

I’d say it’s also all the property owners who need occupancy to justify their costs

I’d like to join you guys on your side of the pond, but i need to look for an in. Im willing to figure out the legalities, etc, but first and foremost I’d need a job. Do you guys have any suggestions for job boards to use that focus on EU countries? Specific focus in the technical field is a plus.

What age would you choose? Mentally you still keep growing and you keep your normal life span. Also, what age are you currently?

I’ve seen some friends that keep their places like caves; all curtains and blinds closed with maybe some lights on. Some even going so far as to put up foil and completely blocking out light. I like having blinds and curtains open with maybe just a sheer curtain to diffuse the light but I enjoy it being bright. So how do you like your space lit with natural light?

Has it also been affecting the price of chicken? I know that egg prices were a sticking point from the election so there’s a focus on that, but if it’s an avian flu that’s affecting chickens, would that also cause the price of any chicken product to go up? I feel like I haven’t heard anything around meat prices going up.

You always hear the phase “9 to 5” and also the song with the same name. Assuming you include 1 hour worth of breaks (30 minute lunch and two 15 minute breaks), you’re only working for 7 hours a day which comes up to 35 hours a week.

Now it feels like you have to work 8 hours a day (for a total of 40 hours of actual work), plus your other time off meaning you’re really there for 9 hours each day (for a total of 45 hours). Am i looking at that wrong, or did expected times change, and if so, when?

And not a monkey’s paw moment.

In the US for example the standard is 110V for voltage and 80psi for water. In Europe, voltage is 220V, is water pressure different there too?
