Hausaufgabenbetreuung, Ganztagsschule).

The recipe is made up and lives in my head. The main thing would be the quark-oil dough like in this recipe, although I would add some lemon zest to the dough. For the ginger, a piece the size of the tip of your thumb would probably be enough (perhaps a bit less if you have large thumbs, the taste gets milder as the sauce cooks).

This is a bit of a weird one and won't use up much of your ginger, but apple pie/cake/tart is really good with some ginger mixed into it. I typically prepare a sauce with the ginger and (some of) the apples, cooked until saucy, and spread that over the dough before adding apple slices (and whatever else) on top.

Too much ginger is no bueno for this, but it adds a nice kick. I don't do regular apple cake anymore.

Same. When Reddit cracked down on third-party clients, I quickly realized that I liked Boost more than Reddit, and I'm super happy about how it's coming along.

Republican state governments. Trump and Musk hold up the chainsaw, and Republicans walk into it with a smile on their face.

Looking at this chart, the situation seems to be much better nowadays than I realized.

I love how one half is clear, so you can see what's inside.

I love cooking, and most dishes I cook contain some kind of onions or garlic in varying amounts. Unfortunately, my partner doesn't handle them well, so I want to replace them as much as I can.

Leek is one decent alternative to onions, and I've recently discovered Asafoetida, a spice that creates an oniony flavor. But onions are also important for texture, especially in saucy dishes, and both leek and spices replace that poorly. Fennel works sometimes but alters the taste.

Garlic generally seems hard to replace, although I've had some success with only slightly squashing the cloves and fishing them out before serving.

Anyway, I'm looking for suggestions. Anybody know any good alternatives, any cool tips or tricks I could try?

Edit: To clarify, the issue is that my partner can't digest them properly and they cause pain (likely a mild food allergy). The flavor is not an issue, and we both enjoy the stuff that we cook apart from this issue.
