Some hindutva people have taken to calling people hijra

I was thinking of this one as well. it makes me unreasonably angry because it was once a celebrated position in society, pre-colonization.

sadly, he still has too much faith in his fellow tech bros. his tactical analysis is right -- it would work, if pursued. but he's still missing the "material conditions" portion of the analysis. unless something drastic changes, this ain't happening any time soon.

heya all! I took a year long break from this website for health reasons - migraines, not even once. the ketamine they gave me to break them was kinda fun though.

anyone wanna hit me with the highlights? any other lemmys implode from interacting with us? struggle sessions? funny threads? hit me with them!

to add to this, how many of us living in the west remember our "aww shit" moment where the justifications for liberalism fell apart in our own minds and we had to contend with reality and the consequences of ideological rationalization? I think we overcorrect and assume that what held us to such flimsy dissonance must have been powerful, when the reality is that people simply hate to confront dissonance when doing so means taking a stand against all the power in the world. it's just fear, at least with most of the honest radlibs. (this is a larger group than people realize. the capitalists have noticed this and began marketing to them - cf the sudden proliferation of "anticapitalist" big budget productions).

the wider class... false consciousness and short-term self-interest prevail and it's why any base of power of power for the western left begins and ends with the dispossessed.

at one point Norm tells him something to the effect of "Mr Bonerelli, between the 3 of us, we've read 10000 books and you've read two pages on wiki pedia" (he says it like two separate words - the man apparently refuses to use a computer). I did not expect him to nail debatejak to the post this fucking hard and fast.

jesus christ read at least one book about the history of the conflict you're describing before you confidently spout nonsense.

there's no way to sell public infrastructure to the highest bidder that won't result in a massive drop in quality of life. it's got very little to do with your government and entirely to do with the introduction of bourgeois rule.

yes, capitalism is marked by class war, between the class who own things, and the class who labor. liberalizing the Soviet bloc destroyed the prospects of the working class.
