It wasn't even that negative.

Would you recommend windows to family and friends?

No, 90% of those i help (ages 10-70) with computers and tech dont need a computer, they can use their phone for everything. A phone can pay bills, contact friends and family even print documents or pictures just fine and they have everything they need and want.

The only reason someone even wants a PC today is to play games or they need it for work and in those cases i usually don't need to recommend them an os because they probably don't have any other options, because they are comfortable windows or mac.

I got a survey question from windows feedbackhub on my work computer yesterday, asking if i would recommend windows. And i thought fine ill answer this seriously with real reasons why.

I wrote a long explanation from my own experiences helping people and using it, half way through i shit you not, the feedbackhub froze and crashed.

I don't know what I expected.

People are lonely, everyone could do with a few good friends no matter their sexual orientation. Gay men are people and therefore have people problems, i don't think they have it better or worse in this regard. I personally haven't meet a gay man who has been that much different from other men, so i find this article very odd, or at least built on stereotypes (maybe just me?)

I have a long rant about the loneliness epidemic in me but ill spare everyone. main thing is this isn't as new thing, but that does lite to help and doesn't add value to the conversation.

What would it cost for someone to actually do this? I know you can buy space on those billboards.

Probably "nice to them"

The main issue i have with AI coding, hasn't been the code. Its a bit ham fisted and overly naive, it is as if it's speed blind.

The main issue is that some of the code is out of date using functions that are deprecated etc, and it seems to be mixing paradigms and styles across languages in a very frustrating? way.

I used to work in a software architecture team that used AI to write retrospectives, and upcoming projects, and everything needed to have a positive spin, that sounds good but mean nothing.

Extra funny when I find out people use AI to summarize it. So the comical cycle of bullet points to text and back again is real.

I had enough working at the company when my team was working on the new "fantastic" platform, cut corners to reach the deadline on something that will not be used by anyone... and its being built for the explicit purpose of making a better development and working environment.

As a kid there was a pizzeria everyone at school said was a money laundering operation, no one knew of anyone who bought pizza there and it was always open... thinking about it now, the town had about 10 000 people living in it, and there was 6 pizzerias and that particular one was in a very odd place and no signage and i have never seen a menu form them anywhere
