Would they, though? Knowing that the entire rest of the world would be down their throats in an instant? Knowing Israel would immediately nuke them back?

Maybe a nice, platonic interaction counts as a fetish if you're ace.

I'm okay with Iran having nuclear weapons because many other terrible countries have them already and seem to have zero interest in disarming. They have the right to pursue defense via deterrence.

I think the capitalization is less baffling if you've ever received an email from Trump inviting you for an exclusive trip to Mar-a-Lago, or offering you one of his exclusive gold watches. I have no idea how they got my email, but they were sending them so frequently I actually blocked them.

Emphasis on the USD?

Why not? Surely they understand that nuking someone would lead to themselves being nuked in retaliation.

France being famous for having disposed of all 290 of its own nuclear weapons, of course.

In 2023, Germany said: “Confronted with an openly aggressive Russia, the importance of nuclear deterrence has increased for many states, including for [Germany].

Germany is one of five NATO members to host US nuclear weapons on its territory as part of a nuclear-sharing agreement. The German air force is assigned approximately 15 B61 nuclear bombs, which are deployed at the Büchel air base.

In 2016, Germany voted against the UN General Assembly resolution that established the formal mandate for states to commence negotiations on “a legally binding instrument to prohibit nuclear weapons, leading towards their total elimination”.

Is it meaningful to attend in Europe? If so how does it work?

Maybe people who chose to not vote are a bigger problem than I realize, but I think the real issue is the masses who are prevented from voting in the first place, and the gerrymandering and electoral college designed to suppress the votes that do get cast.
