you just need to right-click on the game (in the left panel), go to Properties -> Compatibility, and set it to Proton Experimental

You can also enable it for all available games from Settings > Compatibility (and you’ll still be able to override the version on a per-game basis as well)

Glad I could help!

(Also, not sure why you’re being downvoted. You made a valid assumption, and not knowing is not a sin. The dismissal of evidence is, which you clearly didn’t do. )

Some windows games running on proton beat native windows performance. So yes.

Here’s a recent benchmark.

Edit: here’s the AMD GPU version if that’s what you’re using: https://youtu.be/D45AknAsIPw

Old enough to remember using a 3½” floppy disk to boot my first PC and mess around with GW/Q-BASIC and play DOS games.

The disks were strongly perfumed (I guess the guy I bought my pirated games from liked to do that for some reason), and I still remember that aroma.

I hear it’s quite reactive

Britannica

Ah, the most neutral of sources.

Here’s a better source, and I’m not just going to copy and paste this because it would strip citation links:

Your comment is the biggest lump of misleading reductionism I’ve ever read

And Khalifa (خليفة) in the Arabic language literally means successor/inheritor (aside from the religious connotations), so there is some trivia for the day.

I’ll never pass a chance to post this
