Republicans are terrorists. I call on the Alien Enemies Act and will deport them without due process.

Vote for me in 2028.

Awhile back, I started tracking the time between the listed showtime and the actual start time of the movie. I logged them all and I would post it on Twitter. Then, Elon bought Twitter and I sort of abandoned the project (and Twitter).

At AMC (where I see most movies because it’s near me and they have a monthly pass), pre-roll/previews are 15-30 minutes long. The bigger and newer a movie is, the longer it is. Most tend to be around 20-25 minutes.

I started showing up 21 minutes late to most of them but I would usually be right on time for the start of the film.

I didn’t hear about that one almost at all and I go to the theater every week.

I only knew about it because I like the director and go out of my way to look up interesting movies.

Not banned. I chose Lemmy because I’m a big believer in the ideas of the fediverse and I want it to succeed.

I do still have to use Reddit occasionally to look up info that hasn’t made it here yet, but I don’t post or comment there.

I was really trying to rack my brain for this question but, you helped me.

Mine is a pet too. A dog. I have a Dalmatian and there was one up for adoption at a local shelter.

I went to meet him, and the shelter sort of pushed him into me right then. It was more expensive than it should have been also.

In the end, I’m glad I brought him home. My first dog loves to wrestle with him and the shelter ended up getting shut down for violations with the state. I’m so happy he got a good home with me and didn’t get sent to who knows where when the shelter closed.

I found this out when researching care for my grandparent. You have to spend all of the money before they can be eligible for certain types of care. They make you get rid of it all or forfeit it.

Not a cat, but I adopted a dog whose name was Doc. I started calling him Docky and that became Ducky and then he started responding to that so now that’s his name.

He has a brother named Dexter that I obviously call Goose lol

Actually, yeah. Something visual would probably be much better. That’s a great idea! Next time the topic comes up I’ll try that!

If he is interested in something he’ll dive in head first. He reads so much! But if he’s not interested in something…that’s another story. It’s hard for him to fake it lol

We watch a lot of mini documentary on YouTube. I can’t believe I didn’t think of that before!

I would disagree with your premise but it’s not your fault. It’s my fault for not explaining it clearly

I don’t think not knowing something makes you stupid. Humans can’t know everything. We all have strengths and weaknesses. I know about taxes, but I don’t know shit about cooking. He cooks dinner, I deal with the bureaucracy situations.

Also, I’m don’t know if you’ve ever spent time with someone who struggles with ADHD and Neurodivergence but their brains don’t work like others. They can’t force themselves to do things that other people can tough out. They can study all night but if their brain can’t stay on track, they won’t be able to retain it.

When I come along and start telling him how tax brackets work, especially if he didn’t ask me, hes going to be frustrated and he’s not going to get through it easily.

I don’t know if he just doesn’t want to work OT and has settled on this excuse or if there is some other issue but it doesn’t matter. If he doesn’t want to work OT, that’s okay!

This is a VERY specific episode. Because this is so hard, I’m going to give you extra images below.

The big brain am winning again! I am the greetest! Now, I am leaving Earth for no raisin.

EDIT: After reading your replies, it occurred to me that too much of my everyday speech is made up of lines from the show. Maybe that’s why everyone thinks I’m weird.

The rest of aren’t normal, and that’s what makes us great! … So, Leela, don’t want to be like us? Or do you want to be like Adlai, with no severe mental or social problems whatsoever?

Second EDIT: I didn’t expect so many responses, but I’ve just been reading them all and giggling to myself. Thank you everyone I really needed this. Keep em coming!
