Youtube shorts / short form content has driven me so mad that I've now deleted all social media, with only voyager to access lemmy. I actually couldn't handle how shit it all is, which I kept going back to like a drug

Hopefully ai slop will stay slop, that way we can still know about and value human made content. Imagine the unemloyment rate if ai gets "very good" at making websites/articles/software etc.

My dad uses X and I have slowly watched his descent into madness. So whatever is done on there, it isn't good

From the article: "There's the impression that LGBTQ communities are by default connected to the West and could be seen as destabilising forces,”

It's depressing that many governemnts/people view LGBTQ to be from the west, especially when you consider that some countries want to dewesternise/decolonise, and since LGBT has been intertwined with the west, they use this as an obsurd justification for repression

For reddit I tend to jump around countries until I'm not blocked. Albania is my country of choice.

For Lemmy I have never been blocked, however I think lemmy.world has some rules around posting with a vpn for some reason, but double check on that.

This is so absurd it almost feels like it isn't real. But indeed, the article appears when I look it up
