I’m sorry that I don’t understand it.
By default, all windows/mac/linux laptops will ask users to set up a password for log-in. This is not sufficient, but much better than password-less unlock

I have a steam deck an I love it, but I don't think using it as a laptop is a good idea. Unlocking a steam deck doesn't need a password (by default), just like Switch, GameBoy or PS Portable. If steam deck is lost, sensitive personal data can be accessed easily. Besides, I'd expect a higher risk of losing a steam deck, as I'd been playing it on various places like metro or train stations.
If you never take your steam deck out of your home, then it sounds sensible to use SD as a laptop
Free upgrade is always great. Sadly, Tears of Kingdom is not on this list
I use hair clog remover twice a year on my bathroom sink. Seems that I should install a drain hair catcher for it?
Sorry to hear it. I'm a casual player and the Linux performance worked well for me. If playing CS competitively, the little difference in performance is crucial.
Not sure what kind of multi player game you prefer. Dota 2 and CS have perfect Linux support and it may worth a try
I'm neutral with it.
A meta-search engine is a search tool that sends user queries to selected search engines and returns the result
I don't know the cost of Waterfox to send the queries to the search engine providers. I'm afraid that the ad income can't cover the cost
LibreOffice is the top open source choice, and it has been the default choice for Linux users for more than a decade. I'd recommend everyone to have a try
I like GOG for its DRM-free policy, and I’d support GOG for their effort to keep old games running.
We’d avoid perfectionism here. Buying a Canadian video game is great. Buying it on GOG is even better
