Got a mini-lathe for Christmas last year and needed something to put it on. Hundreds of spinning tops and mushrooms later, I’m pretty sure it was worth it. Here’s a couple other things from my lathe.

I have 3x7 rolling table that moves all about my garage. well, where it can fit, anyways, which is about 30% of the square footage of the garage. but it's helpful to be able to move it to use as an outfeed, unload the car and roll everything back into the garage, just give a shove when I need a bit more floor space...
problem is keeping it clear, as is the problem with all flat surfaces
