U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar will move out of her Washington, D.C., home that federal agents searched last week, she said Wednesday, noting that attention brought on by the raid has made her feel unsafe there.

Federal authorities are investigating potential fraud in her family’s immigration paperwork and have issued grand jury subpoenas to some of her relatives, a person briefed on the investigation told The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss an ongoing investigation.

Omar, who was born in Somalia and is a naturalized U.S. citizen, said Wednesday in her first interview since the search that she is “confident in the fact that I didn’t do anything wrong.”

Sure but at least I know the bugs. I throw my phone in the closet and unplug the Ethernet cable. My car is stupid so no problem there.

If they really want you can detect audio through walls and window vibration and some keyboard and computer activity from power line.

  • I'm aware but there are still ways to if not counter then dilute the ability for said connection, thick enough curtains for example or even a battery powered surge protector for example. But rarely are such things needed, you've basically got to get to Soviet vs US levels of bullshit spycraft to do that. Mind you Ilhan Omar should probably be factoring that in but it's probably not priority.
