I don't normally participate here because I'm still new, but I just found out that a guy I've been playing volleyball with almost every week for a year is from the country where my target language is spoken! I'm so stoked! I had no idea because his accent doesn't sound like he's from there. I had a very basic conversation with him, and he was awesome about it, speaking slowly and using basic vocabulary. But still, we were able to go back and forth in conversation! I figured you all would understand how lucky I feel, especially since we're in somewhat of a rural town. I'm so excited to ask him more things
Glad you're with us, that sounds very cool :D I don't have any latin/ukrainian speakers to practice with, but it seems very useful to practice with a real speaker.
