Yes, you can always install all apps from play store but if you want to minimize data sent to Google this should be the last resort.
As said I would try and install the Aurora store and then install the app from there.
And if that does not work setup a private space with Google services and play store.
I'm running the pixel 10 but pixel version shouldn't matter in most cases as far as I understand.
