I often create a new repository and don't give the project a name, until I've coded enough of it that I know where it's going. A few years back, the makers of the programming language Rust started punishing people for prepending rust- before the names of their tools and apps. They recommended that people append -rs to the end. The combination of these two things caused me to end up with a whole bunch of repositories named something like cli-rs or clitool-rs, both of which I'd just pronounce as clitoris. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 1 child comment replies: [–] echodot@feddit.uk 13 points 2 months ago There really is no drama like programming language drama. permalink fedilink source parent [–] nullify3112@lemmy.world 1 point 2 months ago Thought about this a little more.
